The process of admission at BITSINDRI is through Jee Main Percentile. The minimum percentile required for admission is above 88 for the general category. The in general counselling process is started after the declaration of the Jee Advance exam's result. Before the counselling process candidates should have to fill the form on JCECEB portal provided by JCECEB. After filling the form on jceceb, the CML rank is declared. The CML rank decides which college is allotted to that particular student. After allotting a college, candidate should have to go through other procedure for that college. The following certificates are required at the form filling time:- college leaving certificate, residential certificate of Jharkhand, CML rank list, adhar card, passport size photo, jee main rank proof certificate. After all these processes the institute sends a allotment letter to candidates. Now candidate have the responsibility to come on the college campus and verify all their documents.

There are 9 different streams in our college i.e, Computer Science, IT, ECE, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Civil, Metallurgical, Mining, Production. Most of the facilities are from prestigious College Like IIT, NIT etc, They are well trained and very cooperative in nature. The way of teaching is very nice. In every semester there are two mid semester and teacher assessment test taken. Also, a coding competition is organised for every student.

As the alumni power of this college is very good they bring many companies for internship TATA also recruits students for internship in 3rd year for Metallurgy Mechanical and Electrical branches. Many meritorious students are doing internship in companies like Microsoft, Google. Many companies like tata, sail, l n t, offer internship opportunities to our college students in their 3rd year. A task like estimating and costing are given along with a good stipend. Our supportive alumni also provide internship to meritorious students

From sem 7 students become eligible for campus placements. More than 100 companies visits and more than 380 students get placed. Highest package is about 13 lakh per annum and the average package is about 5.6 lakh per annum. The placement of our college is well more than 50% students get placed in this college. The more number of students get place In core branch Mechanical And Electrical branch. In the civil branch, the placement ratio is low. There are many types of companies like TATA, JSW, L&T, VEDANTU, TCS, Asian Paint, Schlumberger, Deloitte,etc come every year. The highest package is gone is about 12 lacs per annum by TATA and by core branch students like Mechanical, Electrical and also Metallurgy and CS. I plan to do GATE after my degree.

Fees in our college are very much economical. One thing that is very interesting about our college is that tuition fees for girls and TFW are negligible that is Rs 32 per year. And for other students, it is Rs 15000 per year. Alumni of this college also provide scholarships to the needy, deserving and economically weaker section. Hostel fees are Rs3000 per month with a very good facility. BIT SINDRI stands 46th among all Engineering Colleges in India in hotel facilities.

For every engineering student, their college life is the most memorable time. In my college, there are 10 different clubs(Sarjana, LEO, Arts, Rotract,StartUp, and many more) in which every club conduct different fest, events and competition. And a grand fest is also conducted by our college that is FOYC(fresher of the year contest) in November. If I talk about the infrastructure then this college is in the medium range than IITs and NITs.Also, a central library in which 2 floors are full of books and about 3-4 lacs differents books are available. Sports club also conducted football, cricket interbranch competitions.

Hostel and electricity fees are 7000/- (5000/- + 2000/-)per year. In a room, in 1st year 4 beds are available, in 2nd year 3, in 3rd year 2 and final year there is 1 personal room given to per students. I am surely telling here the mess facility is good in 100/- we get whole day meals(3 meals) in which no restriction on eating. In a week, there are 4 times non-veg and the rest of the day is veg. The quality of the meals is good. The room is fully organized and ready for living. There is a separate study table for each student. Meal quality is good and the menu is according to your selection because you have to pay separately for fooding.
