My experience

The admission process is we have to attempt the EAMCET exam which is conducted in Andhra Pradesh for all the engineering colleges. Based on the rank, we have to opt for colleges. Depending upon the number of students and number of seats and order preference, we get allocated to a particular college. Then we have to go to college and confirm our admission through counseling. For the program we opted, it mainly depends on the rank in the exam. If there are many people who are going to join that college then you should have good cutoff marks which vary every year. We have to give the preferences correctly otherwise we may be allocated to other colleges and other programs also. We have three counsellings, in which we can go and change our preferences of colleges and programs, so that we may get admission in other colleges also or different program from the same college.

I am interested in becoming a software engineer and gain knowledge about different programming languages. The student-faculty ratio is around 1:13. The faculty has PhD degrees in their domains. Some of them are Associate Professors and Assistant Professor. The knowledge of the staff is very good and they help us in guiding many things and guides us to participate in hackathons and some other competitions also. When we come to exams, we have two mid-term exams and semester exams. The marks will be 70 from the semester and 30 from mid-exams. The mid-exams score is weighted as 75% from the best and 25% from the worst. The exams are mainly application-oriented. It's not much difficult and not too easy.

Most of the companies provided internships with good stipends. Depending upon the package and the role stipend is decided and varies from each company. In Infosys, they get trained at institutes and conduct exams on the trained languages. Based on their performance they select the people for different roles. The same process is for the cognizant. You can become a full-stack developer. In west pharmaceuticals packaging company, they give training with senior developers and assignments. After that, they divide and give real-time projects which are being used internally. From this we gain much knowledge on the new technologies and work on it. In the west, we get 32000 as a stipend and the package is 6lakhs.

The placements are good. From 4-1 students are eligible to attend placements. They give us placement training from good trainers. It gives us knowledge of all rounds conducted during the interview process. Infosys, cognizant, Wipro, West pharmaceuticals packaging company, Tech Mahindra, and some other companies. The majority of people got selected for Infosys and cognizant. Their package is around 4 lakhs. The highest package is 8 lakhs from phased in the company. On off-campus also few people got selected and got offered with good package. 90% of students got selected on campus.

The fees structure is 97000/year. And there are some other charges also. While joining how much you pay it will be the same for the next three years. There is fee reimbursement for the people who meet some criteria based on their parent's income and rank in the EAMCET exam. For the people who get rank below 10000 and their parent's income is less then they get full fee reimbursed. If the rank is below 20000 they get 50% reimbursed of their fee. We can apply for a scholarship also. The campus placements are good and around 90% of students got placed in good MNCs with different packages. Most of the companies provide internships with a good amount of stipend. The majority of recruiters are Infosys, cognizant, Wipro. We can also do an Internship based on our interests. The package is also good for many companies and they get promoted to higher positions. I am selected for a West pharmaceuticals packaging company. They provided us internship for six months for which they gave us a stipend also.

MOHAMAD MANTRA is a techno-cultural fest conducted at college for three days during the month of October. Students from different colleges come to attend the workshops, seminars, debates, and many other events and activities. And we have DJ also. We have the best library with many books which are helpful to the students to gain knowledge on the subjects deeply. The library will be opened on Sunday also for the availability of students. The timings are from 8-8. When we come to sports college conducts much competition in our college and we have a dedicated sports day. We have many social groups in all departments and coordinators also. In the CSE department, the group is called, CETA-Computers Engineers Technical Association, under which we conduct many competitions which are technical and nontechnical. Outreach activity in which we go to nearby government school and educate them about the opportunities related to studies and conduct some activities.

The hostel is good enough for both girls and boys. We have different rooms like three sharing, four sharing, five sharing. Depending upon the sharing, they provide us with cupboards one for each, and hot water also. The food quality is good and the menu is different for each day. The best part is they won't allow us to waste food. While confirming the admission they ask us for a hostel facility also. Then We can opt for it. The hostel fee is a bit high. So whoever cannot afford it can opt for PG which is a nearby college. The fee is around 45000 depending upon the hostel facilities. They provide us good food and neat rooms.
