Ravenshaw University - A Brand.

Apart from RU, I had applied at Rama Devi and BJB too, however, it was very clear from the beginning that I wanted to do my graduation from Ravenshaw University only. I was damn sure of getting into it. So when I got accepted, I enrolled myself happily! I am from the General category so I don't have any quota. The admission process was very smooth. it requires you to have a minimum percentage of 50% in 12th Boards. However, there are yearly cut-offs for each year for separate steams.

I have been a commerce enthusiast since I completed my tenth. The variety of subjects that are there are really helpful and you can actually relate them to your surroundings, that is your day-to-day lives. the application is just amazing. It really fascinates me. I wanted to dig deeper into the subjects so I chose this stream.

There are not many prospects for internships at our college. However, children pursuing CA Foundation Course, do get admitted to certain summer internships. I wish we could change this. Children usually resort to other areas for life changing internships like Collegedunia, Internshala, Upwork, etc.

We are offered placements from very prestigious colleges, like Delloite, Wipro, ICICI Bank, Tech Mahindra and much more. Students become eligible for campus placements in their 3rd year. I recently got a job offer from ICICI bank in their PO Programme. I was being offered 4.5 lakhs annually. I secured a percentage of 68.8%, so I think it's really wonderful placement wise. I am actually preparing for CAT and wanna pursue MBA for higher studies. Currently, I want to work on content writing internships as I am a writer by heart!

The fee structure is very less compared to other Universities. Ravenshaw is a brand in itself and yet charges very little. it took only 3000 in the first year during admission. there is a readmission process every year that charges the same, and an additional feel if you live in a hostel within the premises. Our faculty makes sure to share all the promising job applications with us. I recently got a call letter from ICICI Bank PO Programme. there are other amazing opportunities too like Delloite, Wipro, and more.

Life at the campus is the best thing that I have ever experienced. The elite university gives us access to Kanika Library, where you can find books on everything. there is a lot of knowledge you can engulf yourself into. Our classrooms are huge with numerous windows allowing us ample ventilation. The sports curriculum is amazing. There are Badminton tournaments along with football and other sports. More popularly, there is RUMUN, the hotspot of our campus! People engage in a lot of activity here.

The hostel facility is quite commendable. Our rooms are huge and consist of more than sufficient accommodation for six students. There are 4 fans and 5 tube lights, 2 big windows, a big mirror, 6 individual cupboards and also 6 tables, chairs and beds. The menu has really upgraded and is very feasible. Quality is good, however can still be worked upon. Boys hostel's meals are way better than girls! The registration process is simple and doesn't require much paperwork.
