Great experience at the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences (UDPS)

I was applied at all government colleges and University departments for the M.Pharm course. But due to the unavailability of complete information of every college and course fee I haven't tried to to get the admission in other colleges. I got the admission through the general quota there are available seats on the other quota also like OBC, NT, SC, ST EWS. To get admission in the department you should be a Graduate Pharmacy Apptitude Test (GPAT)(M.Pharm entrance exam)qualified student with a minimum of 175 marks for general & 150 marks for other than general category. The admission process is through CAP round 1, 2, 3 probably counselling round is held because of no vacant seat.

The course offers in depth knowledge of particular departments like Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacology & Pharmacognosy. I choose the Pharmaceutics department to get complete knowledge about every aspect. There is a total of 13 faculty members, 11 non teaching staff members and 20 to 35 contributory teachers available for the students. All teaching faculties are a doctorate in their respective department some of them have postdoc qualifications. They are having their unique method to guide the students. The exams were shouted due to covid but University manages it nicely and we got the results within 15 days after the exam. It was quite difficult to pass the exam.

Students individually apply for the opportunity and get the minimum stipend and along with the industrial training. The degree students can work on the projects offered by the organization or our self motivated projects under the guidance of respective guide.

Most graduate students prefer to get admission in a master's program, the remaining M.Pharm students appear for interviews and PhD entrance exams. The TCS, Mylun and ZIM laboratories are available to give the jobs for students. The highest package is about 6 lac pa and 3.1 is the average package. The campus will be in the same month I'll be appearing for it.

The GPAT qualified student will be accredited with the stipend of 12400 then you will not be able to avail of any other scholarships. The fees can be paid through this stipend, if you are not GPAT qualified student and got the admission then as per your cast you will get the scholarship.

The social media club which runs by B.Pharm third year students. It is very active at the department and alumni having own website for the students www.udpsalumni.org. The official groups and sites are available on WhatsApp for discussion and notices. The department wise and batch wise is also the having all information with the social media club.

A hostel facility is available for the pharmacy department separately. Very nice place to live with friends and classmates. The room is fulfilled with one table chair and cot and one cupboard for each student. The mess is available for the student's other tiffins also we can be brought here. At Bharat Nagar, futala area is having PG Facility.
