Remarks

The college I've applied to is only Bishop Heber college. The reason I chose Bishop Heber College was it was near my home and traveling will be easy. I also find the college to be well known for its performance and guidance level. The Admission criteria were quite simple and easy to understand. It was based on good scores not less than 80%. I was selected through a merit list and I was 18 years old at that time. After the admission process, there were guidance classes for both parents and the students, regarding the college and its facilities.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I chose Bcom because it was related to my ambition. I have studied commerce in my 12th. The course was not much difficult and the timeline to complete the course was 3 years. Each year had 2 semesters between a timeline of 6 months. The faculty members were highly qualified Professors and Teachers. They have achieved a great degree in their pursed subjects. Their classes were understandable and they corrected the doubts of most students. Basics of each subject were taught from the beginning of the course which helped the students to grasp the idea of the subject. Revising the lessons through conducting internal exams of a score total of 20 was quite helpful. The sem end exams were of 80 and it was conducted with great importance. The possibility of passing the exams was 70 %. It depends upon the level of each student's study methods. I was able to pass the exam at this percentage.

Internships Opportunities

5

Since I am doing many Internships outside the college, I'm not an intern and I haven't looked for an internship in college, I am sorry to say that I don't know much about college internships. But I am sure that my college always provides what's best for their students.

Placement Experience

5

The college provides campus placement offers to its students. The students of the final year are eligible for placement. Companies such a Federal banks, Barclays, etc have visited and offered jobs. After pursuing my degree, I am interested to study the course for becoming a Company Secretary. As it is a course of law and order, it will be quite difficult. Bur I will try my best to achieve it.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure for me is Rs 36,000 for a year and 18,000 for a semester. For me, this was not a problem for the cost of studying. I did many Internships and I'm a campus ambassador for the United nations. Has I haven't completed my degree, I don't have a job. The amount from the stipend was of great help for my financial terms

Campus Life

5

The annual fests include College day which was celebrated every semester with great enjoyment. The Fines arts fest will be conducted by November. In this fest, the students will be participating in various competitions related to arts, dance, music, etc. It is a competition between the departments of the college. The Foodfest will be conducted during December. The college is well known for its large library and the number of books available. It is an old Library with a great amount of knowledge. The Library has a computer lab attached to it for browsing purposes. The classroom is medium in size and it has been provided with 7 fans and two tube lights. It gives a pleasant and good atmosphere. The sports team is always very active. Hockey, Football are all supported. Yoga is also included. Clubs such as nature club, dance club, music, social, ed club are all for students' talent development.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The specific aspect will be accounting that made me choose this couse. The curriculum made me to prepare for future accounting field works and knowledge around the field. The improvements that I suggest may is to add more relevent real life job experience in subject books itself. As per me who is one of a topper student in my college, The difficulty is moderate to me and timing of exams are more enough to fill all the questions.

Placement Experience:

In MCC there is placement but it's not 100% placement, only 10 to 20 from a class of 60 gets placed, so when it comes to placement it's upto to you and your skills. Normaly the placement enrollment starts at beginning of your 5th semester or end of your fourth semester, you can opt for placement or higher study. The highest package was from Standard Chartered & Deloitte it was 6 Lakhs CTC. Accenture, TCS and some well known companies will participate in placement drive. The average package will be Rs.3.5 Lakhs CTS. I'm planning to go for higher studies while doing a part time job after getting degree.
