Life at IITM

To get admission in this college I gave IPU- CET Exam. I got 5114 rank (outside Delhi). Based on my rank I got colleges in Rohini (GIBS)and the other one was MERI college Janakpuri in the 1st and 2nd round of counseling respectively. However, on the spot round I was able to get IITM janakpuri as in that round no quota applied like inside/outside delhi, no minority and reserved quotas. On the day of spot counselling I with other students sent to the 1st building for document verification and after that we rushed to different building and waited till our rank was called. Once my rank was called I was asked to select the college based on the remaining seats they had. so, without a further ado i choose IITM Janakpuri because of its campus life and teaching facilites.

I chose BBA as I was keenly interested in business and corporate world and this degree provides me everything which helps me to understand the business world more closely. From learning financial management, Income Tax, HR Management, Indian economy and many more it helps me to widen my knowledge. On average the faculty: student ratio was 24:1 Most of the faculties were PHD holder with deep knowledge of the subject & others newly appointed assistant professor were the topper of their batch and are very helpful. As far as teaching method is concerned we'll get detailed notes of each and every chapter & also the ppt. They used practical approach to explain even a small doubt which was very interesting and helpful. Exam was on time there was no delay in that sense. To pass the exam you only have to get 40 out of 100 which was easy to score as paper was not very tough it was on medium level.

There is an Internship cell called "Internware" in my college which brings lots of summer internship offers from various companies like Nivesh Global ( marketing), TravVille.com ( marketing & research), and many more. Live project by BIG Bazar- Under this students learn about customer behaviour and stock management.

From the 5th semester, students are eligible to sit on the campus placement. Companies visited were: TCS, Byjus, Mahindra, upGrad,Wipro, Reliance retail,AU bank, Sun life Insurance , Jairo and many more Profiles Offered: sales, Customer service, Finance analyst Highest package was 6.5 lac for my batch and the average was 2.5-3 lac 90% students got placed I am planning to do my masters.

Talking about fees when I enrolled myself in 2018 I paid 91,800 for 1st year. And for the next 2 years 2019-21 it was approx 87,000 /yr which I think was at medium level. About the fee hike policy each year for new enrollments fees are subject to increase based on GGSIPU guidelines. Scholarships: The institute awards merit scholarship to the students on the basis of their academic performance in the end term exam. 1) Program- wise (annual) IITM group of Institutional Topper 2) Program-wise (annual) Institutional toppers annual class 3) TOPPER 4) University Subject topper 5) Program-wise university topper Unfortunately there is no on campus job with stipend.

FEST: Annual fest called " FIESTA" is conducted every year in the month of February. The tech fest is known as "Techno sapiens" conducted every year in the month of January. LIBRARY: There are more than 87 journals for both management & IT field in hard copy, these are displayed in both the UG & PG libraries with their back volumes. Students can get this journal issue for 1 week. Book bank titles are issued for one full semester. AMENITIES: All the classrooms are equipped with facilities like A.C 's, LCD Projectors. SPORTS: Badminton court, carom, volleyball Clubs: Social service society, Music & Dance Society, drama society, canteen society, alumni committee, Training& Placement Committee, Library Committee.
