About pharmD in Ramaiah university

I didn't apply for other pharmacy colleges, either because of the higher fees structure, no affiliated hospital or being far from the city. I got the seat through kcet rank and OBC category. Criteria for pharmD is that candidate should have passed the 12th standard in any board exam. The admission process was easy and simple as the office person will take care of most of the work.

I chose pharmD as I was interested in medications and human anatomy and physiology. There is huge scope for this course abroad but in India, it is still an upcoming course. There are enough staff for all the subjects and only 30 students are enrolled which is enough to get individual attention from faculty. Lecturers are well qualified for the course and they are very helpful in guiding. Use both board teaching and projectors. Every academic event and exam will happen in a timely manner. Exams are Upto the standard to keep up the quality of knowledge. Exams can be cleared easily and can score high if studied well.

Pharm.D is a patient care related course hence internship will be mostly done in the hospital. There is Ramaiah hospital next to the college where internship will be done in the hospital as a clinical pharmacist.

Since pharm.D is a 6 years course, students are eligible for placements in the sixth year. Companies such as cactus solutions, indigene etc will come for placements. The highest placements were for 5 LPA for medical writing. Most of the students get placed and most of the students go abroad to do higher studies.

Since I got through KCET, my fees were very less compared to the management seat. Management seat is around 3lakhs/academic year and through cet it was 46k/academic year. There are enough chances to apply for scholarships based on quota and merit.

Ramaiah fest akaira will be conducted in March. Very frequently, the college conducts Ramaiah habba which is like a small function to showcase your talents to the public. The library is filled with all kinds of books, journals that are required and newspapers. The classroom is well furnished and ventilated. It has systems and projectors. Yearly once there is a sports meet for both indoor and outdoor games. Now and then there is quizzes and other competition.
