First, I gave the entrance exam SRMJEE. And the matter of fact is they don't give marks. They only provide with Ranks for respective students, which they can see by entering their details into the result portal of SRM. I secured 30 K rank in the exam. And I opted for CSE in the Ramapuram branch. I always wanted to study about computer and I was kind of stubborn to study about computers, thus I opted for CSE.

The Course Curriculum is good. But the teaching methodology can be hugely improved. The course structure let students explore both application based and research based areas. In first year, the given choice for electives are among NCC/NSS/NSO . And all of them equally important but it depends on student what requirement they want to fulfil l. I took NSS, because I really care and want to help the social people.

Yes, SRM Provides internship projects to students to organisations like Payoda Technologies Pvt Ltd,Black Ngreen, NUS, Singapore, MindBridges Technologies, Alcatel Lucent India Ltd, Society for Electronic Transactions ans Security etc. The general stipend is unknown as the college don't publicly announce it. But I've heard that the experience gained is valued much in the market.

Placement and Job Opportunities are really great at SRM University. Needless to say but majority of the students, nowadays gets enrolled seeing the placement record. SRM University have made Placement record in history in 2015. And it still continues to give very good placement opportunities. I know a bhaiya who is in 4h year, with his extracurricular activities, he got 21LPA Job at Mu-Sigma.

Events are like piece of cake in SRM University (all campus). After I was enrolled, after a week every Saturday there was some technical or management events. One thing at SRM Ramapuram is good is that Clubs are very active.

The feasibility of the Fee structure really depends upon the student. For sure the the Fee structure in every private college is very high so as SRM University's. Per year 2.15 Lakh + 1.10 Lakh for Hostel+Food. That's a huge amount. Including me, I know many of my friends who take Education Loan to pay the fees. And I can bet that if the student do the hard-work every penny is worth.

Yes, there are many types of Scholarship available in SRM University(all branches). The applicants with high scores in the qualifying examinations are eligible for School Final Score Scholarship. Scholarship to the tune of 50% of the tuition fees up to Rs 75,000 per year is offered. The candidate should maintain a minimum of CGPA 8.5 to continue to avail this scholarship through the under graduate program.

In SRM University, Ramapuram there is a nice ambience of campus life. But it doesn't meet the expectation. As there is no big free space to roam around, there is no bunker's point neither a lover's point. So that's a huge turnoff. But when you make friends then it starts to spice up. As usual the gender ratio is very poor, nearly it should be 1 girl : 5 boys.

The alumni network is very strong at SRM University. In many workshops they give a visit to the campus and also gives a talk. Plus our seniors are super helpful. They are the real source of all the extracurricular activities and workshops. They are very grounded and always tries to help.

The SRMJEE Application came on last week of December in 2015. As I've some friends studying there, I knew that SRM is a decent institute. I filled the form online and the further details were given as soon the form was submitted. After giving the entrance exam and after the result. They gave respective ranks to students and accordingly students went to the SRM Chennai for counselling.

The overall faculty in core subjects are really good. But the teaching methodology could be improved. Many of the faculty are involved in research work and they also help students as mentor. Majority of the faculty are highly qualified and many of them hold the ultimate P.h.d degree in their respective fields. For example in first year, our chemistry is taught by Ms. Helen mam.
