ABES

I applied for ABES after facing rejection from 3 - 4 colleges. All previous colleges I applied for, have either a very high minimum marks criteria or a very high annual fees structure which makes normal students like me incapable of taking admission in their colleges. I didn't availed any quota for admission. The admission criteria was fairly smooth and quick, you have to have at least 70+ percentage in undergrad and there is no any age limit for this.

Computer science was a very big deal at that time and i want to pursue my career in that domain. There are a total of 60 students per batch and 8 faculty dedicated to one section. The faculties are very well qualified and some of them even have phd in their respective field the way of teaching is quite impressive. From time to time exams were held which test the students understanding and are of moderate difficulty.

I have completed an intership last year in 2020 with a cognizant named tech company with a stipend of 12k and i have been assigned the role of Business analyst. There are multiple projects you have to go through but at first, you have been assigned as a junior developer which learns how the team works and their project.

Students are eligible for internships after the end of the second semester and at the same time, the placements are also happening. Some of the big names of the tech industry used to visit our college each year and take a huge batch of students with them. They first teach them how the industry works and then push them in to the team.

There is not much information about the fee hike policy but as a whole, the fees was affordable for the middle class but i would say the fees can be little bit reduced for lower income people. You have to fill a form which was provided by the university itself and you would also get financial assistance if you have the Economic Weaker Section or EWS certificate and also some required documents.

There are a plethora of carnivals that are organized throughout the year by their respective authorities. Some of them are held by the student clubs and there alliance. We also have a cricket ground and a huge open area in which the events are held on a regular basis.
