Remarks

The cut off for the college is 70%. candidate has to first fill the application form and then wait for the merit loss. once selected candidate needs to do the payment and submit the necessary documents to the college. no GI/PI is taken.

Course Curriculum Overview

The faculty of the college are educated professionals. they know their subjects well. there are 3 exams taken per semester. students are given notes prior to the exam to help them prepare well. There are enough faculty to cover all the classes.

Placement Experience

Students of the 5th and 6th semesters can opt for the placement cell. Top companies like PWC, Delloite, Wipro come to recruit the students. Almost 60% of the students get placements. The average package may range to 3-4 lakh/annum and the highest being 6 lakh/annum.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is a bit high as compared to the other colleges. for every semester it takes around Rs 20000. there are also scholarship and fee curtailment schemes for the students who have had a merit performance in the past. It also provides loan facilities so that the students don't face any issues with their studies. Hike in the fee is less.

Campus Life

The annual fest is called SRIJAN. Our college has a big library that consists of all the books needed for the studies and many other novels too. Each classroom consists of 2-3 air conditioners and 4-6 fans. There are mics and projectors in each class as well. We have an NSS group which is the helping hand.

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Placement Experience:

from 3rd semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Various Jewelleries company has visited, and even companies like Google, Tata and many has visited. As per i know the highest package were in lacs per month. The college provides 100% placement. After getting the degree, I'll do masters in business administration.

I choose the course the b.com because I want to become the CA but after completing the graduation my family condition was not very good so I quit my studies and searching for the job. My dream was after B.com then I complete M.com then CA but I couldn't do that. Course Curriculum Overview:

I did chose this course to learn more about accounting and finance and the cirriculum prepares you perfectly for the real world. The exams were conducted very soon in few semester only giving 3 months for the students to prepare . the professors were good at teaching and somehow used to complete the syllabus

SXC is invaluable to me!

Placement Experience:

Highest package of our program has been 20 lakhs. Companies like EY, DeShaw, ITC, CESC and many others which are multi billion dollar groups were the ones which are invited for placements. Batch size including morning and evening is of 400 students and nearly 200 gets placements in dream companies. Roles of business analyst and accounting are provided and SAP is taught in our college so those who know that gets job easily.

Good for studying but should improve for recruitment

The application form is available on the college website and every other detail regarding fees and application date is available there.
