Entrance Preview
I gave the IPU CET-2016. The score is never revealed by IPU , my rank was 8224. During counselling i got this college. I wanted CSE here, but because of bad rank had to be satisfied with it branch.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course that we study is provided by the IP university and our college has nothing to do with it. In my opinion its out-dated. If someone wants to master a field, than he/she has to think beyond the curriculum. Apart form that, the subjects are all fine and interesting to study and score good marks.
Internships Opportunities
I don't have any idea whether the college provides any internship or not. A 3rd or 4th year student can only tell. But i think the college would surely have done some arrangements regarding this.
Placement Experience
The placement and job opportunities are quite decent. The statistics of placements can be found out from the college's website. A lot of good companies are showing interest. Average package is at around 3.5-4 lpa. Some good Students are provided with packages around 10-12 lpa or even more! It all depends upon the caliber of the student.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee for the 1st year is a little over than 1 lakh. And they take fees for the whole year in one go. The mode of payment is dd only. A part of this is already submitted during counseling process to the university, nearly around 40k. The rest was paid later during admission process.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college management must have provided with some kind of loan facility. I can't say exactly because I never heard or required it. Also, no scholarship is offered.
Hostel Facilities
Our college only has a girl's hostel, which is situated inside the college area. There are maybe around 25-35 rooms in the hostel and moat likely to be sharing type. More of the information can be given by someone who is actually staying there or of course by the college.
Exam Structure
For each semester, there is an internal and an external exam. The internals are usually held after 1 and a half month of starting of the sem. The practicals are also divided like this. We had 2 internal practicals on each day. While during external practicals, one subject on each consecutive day were held.
Admission
The admission process proved to be a headache, as it started on 4th Saturday of the month, and there counselling result came on Friday night so we didn't have the time to prepare DD, its the only mode of payment. I went to the college filled the rest of the form and gave necessary documents and filled an undertaking for the fees.
Faculty
The college has both, very experienced and new but highly qualified faculty. They are always ready to help students clear their doubts, even after the lecture is over. Even the lab technicians seem good at their jobs. Overall i found the faculty very good.
