Paritosh Hirulkar's Review On Ganpat University - [GUNI], Mehsana

While researching on good BBA colleges in Gujarat, I had come across Ganpat University. I was excited when I saw that they offered the specialization I wanted. The fact that the college was ranked under NIRF and ARIIA also encouraged me to opt for GU. It is also recognized by UGC, AICTE, etc. After I applied for the program online, I was invited for a personal interview where the faculty interacted with me to test my communication skills.

Since I wanted to get into marketing this course seemed perfect for me. The syllabus offered at GU was also very attractive. There are more than 700 staff at the college and each department has qualified and supportive members. My teachers used to organize interactive activities while conducting classes. At the end of each semester we were required to attend the semester exam. You could easily pass the exam if you referred the right sources.

We were allowed to attend placement drives from our 3rd year. Some of the top companies that used to visit our college were Indiamart, Jaro Education, TCS, Rexroth, etc. 80% to 90% of students from my batch were placed into different companies. The average package received was about 3.09 Lakhs per annum. The package went up to 12 lakhs per annum depending upon your performance.

My tuition fees was Rs. 60,000 per year. The admission fee at the time of joining had to be paid separately. Certain miscellaneous charges also used to come up occasionally throughout the 3 years. Since I scored more than 70% in my 12th I was eligible for the GNU scholarship and got a concession of 15% on my first year fee. Those with more than 90% in 10th were eligible for 25% relaxation.

Our library had a vast collection of books and also a good digital library section. Our campus had a good infrastructure with open air theatre, canteen, etc. Sports facilities are there for football, basketball, cricket and much more. Every year youth festival used to be conducted with a wide range of cultural events. The different associations in the college used to host workshops as well.
