Remarks
As i have given all the pros and cons of my university above. I feel that there is no such green and peaceful university in India in which good teaching guidance, helping environment and all facilities are available. it is a fully ragging free knowledge capital in India.
Entrance Preview
I have cleared UGC Junior Research Fellowship in first attempt and choose to do research in Dept. of Statistics. This could happen because of my course curriculum designed in M.Sc. I completed my M.Sc & B.Sc from the same university and admission is taken solely on the basis of Entrance merit. If anyone completed graduation from BHU then in Post graduation entrance, 20% seats will be reserved for BHU pass-out students.
Course Curriculum Overview
All the course curriculum are designed in such a way that each student can crack any administrative exam or interview definitely if he is consistent in his study. Subjects are taught in depth and students are encouraged to opt research as career. More than 15 students out of 55 have cracked JRF exam just after completing M.Sc.
Internships Opportunities
In some of the department of my college like Statistics, Zoology, Botony, etc, internship is available. I do not know more about that beacause i haven't done internship in my department. Some of my friends who have done internship in my department learnt useful things and got better jobs.
Placement Experience
As I belongs to Statistics Department, last year 6 companies came to my department. These includes Chiltren, Max-Neeman, TCS, Biosoft, Mu-sigma, IMS and more than 20 students are placed with highest package of 7 lacs. I also am selected for many companies but i choose to do research instead of job.
College Events
In Banaras Hindu University, many festivals hold at department level (fresher's/ fairwell and teacher's day), Institute level (Aakanksha in institute of science) and at university level (Spandan in which all winners of faculty level participates). These includes singing, dancing, essay writing, eloqution, drama, poetry writing and many more.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is feasible. A lower middle class persons can also afford the fee since our university is central university funded by University Grants Commission, Government of India. Many students got few fellowships at university. SC/ST candidates are exempted from paying fee.
Fees and Financial Aid
Since my university is funded by central government, so there is no need of such loaning facility. In spite of that 'Earn while Learn' scholarship is there for students whose family income is below described level.
Campus Life
The gender ratio of banaras hindu university is good enough to survive for male and female both. In some discipline like zoology, botony, statistics girls are more than that of boys. The campus is equipped with sports grounds, hospital, gym, canteens and yoga centre too. Many personality grooming workshops hold in councelling centre, student welfare centre, BHU.
Hostel Facilities
Most of the student of my university got hostel facility. Banaras Hindu University is the largest residential university in Asia. There are more than 70 hostels in my university. The average rental fee for the hostel does not cost high. hostel fee to be paid in two installments.
Alumni/Alumna
Ragging is strictly prohibitted in Banaras Hindu University. All college seniors help their juniors in study and give advice for future career. I don't know much about alumni network so I can't describe about it.
Exam Structure
Labs are frequently taken but it was chilled out in exam time because usually we get sufficient time between two consecutive papers. And usually the exam papers contains all questions within the syllabus with certain choices. In practical exams, external teacher takes viva-voce.
Faculty
All the faculty staff of my university are well qualified and having doctorate degree and enough teaching experience. They have good command on his area of interest and strong research experience. They are punctual and dedicated towards his lectures.
