Remarks

After I have completed secondary education, I attempted for jee mains and got 95.7 percentile. And after I applied for josaa Counseling and applied for the CSE branch In some good colleges. Finally, I got IIIT Kottayam CSE. Thereafter I applied for special rounds and got IIIT Ranchi CSE. After knowing that it was a good college I joined it.

Course Curriculum Overview

I am very interested in the computer side and it is the future of the world. So I chose the CSE branch. There are is a good number of faculty in the college but we do not expect much from the lecturers. All faculty have Ph.D. in their subject. Some lecturers are very good in their respective subjects but some are not. The exams are very difficult to pass. Since we are attempting online exams, they are easy but the offline mode of exams are very difficult.

Class Size: 65Course Fees: INR 260000 per year

Internships Opportunities

We can't expect more internship offers from the campus. Better to get an off-campus internship. It's better to have the internship and a project before the campus placement so that you can get a better offer.

Placement Experience

The campus is very new. Till now only two batches passed out. Fourth-year students are eligible for campus placements. For the 2021 passed-out students, they got 83 offers. The highest package is 20 lacks for 2 students and the average package is 7.2 LPA. 70 percent of students have got placed.

Fees and Financial Aid

The tuition Fee per semister is 100500 and the hostel fee per semester is 31000. The students of sc and st can get the whole Tuition Fee as a scholarship and for remaining can apply for FFE and other scholarships.

Campus Life

Since the college stated we, 2nd-year students not have seen college yet due to this pandemic. So we don't know about life On campus. But the campus is a temporary campus and the permanent campus is in construction. The college doesn't have any annual fests and they are many tech fests. They are many social groups, clubs and you can join any of them.

Hostel Facilities

Due to this pandemic till now we did not see the campus and hostels. But we saw those photos which look very cool. So I can't provide the details of the hostel, facilities provided in the room, meal quality and menu.

INSIGHTS OF BIT MESRA

Placement Experience:

From 7th sem onwards students are able to face placements. Comapnies such as ZS, Deloite AB in bev microsoft visa comes here and normally takes 1-3 students. The highest package may vary from 40-50 lakhs and average is 4-5 lakhs. Internships opportunities are quite low here. In chemical enginnering only till now out of 120 students 20-30 got placed including out of campus palcements. I am hoping to do mba after pursuing the degree as there is less comapny visit for core branches.

BIT : A Freshman's Perspective

Students are eligible to sit for placements from the 7th semester.A variety of companies including TATA Steel, JSL, JPL, Samsung, TCS and ABG visit the campus.The highest package offered is to Mining branch by vedanta which is 16.5 lpa.In core branches like mechanical and electrical the placement percentage reaches to almost 80%.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of our college is quite active and provides internship opportunities and pre-placement offers for students in their third and fourth years. It invites reputed companies like Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Accenture, IBM, Intel, Infosys, Cognizant, Deloitte, and many more. The average package is about 12LPA and highest package is about 52 LPA. Branches like CSE offer even higher, lucrative packges.

The placement of IIT dhanbad is very good and it offers a average package of 24lpa with highest package of 66lpa this year. Also every year more than 70% students get placed in our college. Specially the core companies shows a lot of interest in our college like coal india, sail, gail, petroleum industries companies, mining companies , etc Average package of cse here is 28lpa with 90% placement rate. Average of electrical is 23lpa with placement rate of 80%. Similarly, every branch average package lies between 18lpa to 24lpa.

Placement Experience:

The placement season starts during 7th semester when various companies come to camous to recruit students. Top companies such as google, amazon,microsoft, coal india, texas instumentation, ONGC etc visits the campus for recruirment. Around 60 -70 percent of the students get placed every year. The highest package from the camous was about 1cr . And the average package of the college was about 15-16 lakhs Apart from the capmus placement many students apply for off campus placement for which also tge college helps.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This college is an engineering college and I choose this college for a Btech degree in civil engineering. The teacher faculty is pretty well they teach us and do many practical labs. The student ratio in my class is 50:11 which means 50 boys and 11 girls in my branch. Mainly they all are DR they have dr degrees and they method is simply not like an extraordinary teacher. In my college teacher took all the exams at timely and it is not very difficult to pass

Choose Future, not Present

I had several other options like NIT Hamirpur, NIT Durgapur, BITS Pilani etc... Now in all the tier 2 nits i would have got either metallurgy or civil at the best but in BITS Pilani i could've got ENI but the fees there was 33 lkh for all the 4 years so it was not affordable for me. This was the best option keeping in mind my rank, roi and fees. You can get here by applying for jossa or csab after you have given jee mainsa and you will get a seat if you get good rank....Read More
