Remarks

I choose this college because i have heard a lot about this college from my friends & relatives. In those days, it used to be an autonomous engineering college. With the kind of marks i had got in MH- CET that year, getting in autonomous college would have been a big thing. Moreover, DBATU was declared as university of technology for the entire state of maharashtra in 2017. I was in 12th class in 2017. So I thought it would be beneficial for me if joined a college of this high reputation. DBATU has a special kind of reputation in areas of Marathwada. It was away from city & in the vicinity of nature. These are the things that made me choose DBATU over others. The admission process was smooth. It was totally merit based. Marks obtanied in MH-Cet 2017 exam were used to decide merit. It began around July 2017 & ended around 10 August 2017. It was partially online & we had to submit few documents in person by visting the campus. The staff there was extremely helpful on the day of admission. I had checked reviews of people written on Google. I also watched Youtube videos about DBATU & i used collegeDunia.com for knowing rating of this college on various Parameters.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I took computer Engineering because interest in coding. The curriculum for Computer Engineering here was very good. in first years , we were taught basic subjects of Computer engineering & in last two years advanced subjects like Machine Learning, IoT, Cloud Computing, Deep Learning, etc were taught. The syllabus is very nicely designed.Faculty at the department of Computer Engineering are well experienced. There were 4 to 5 faculties who had either done phD in thier fields or masters. They all were very knowledgeble. The department also had some new teachers & they were extremely good in teaching & quite helpful. Regular classes in classroom used to happen before COVID & later also the teaching continued in Online mode. There were around 14 teachers for our batch of 80 who taught us during these 4 years. Our class had 50 boys & 30 Girls. Term Exams were held regularly. On few occasions, they were held little late. Difficulty levels of Term Exams were set to Moderate to hard.

Placement Experience

3

Placements are not that good. But in last 2-3 years , there have been good increase in number of students placed specially from IT & Computer Department. Most of Students get job through off Campus drives.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Tuition fees here are slightly more than other Government Colleges in Maharashtra. Around 72000 is the fees for Open Category students. Hostel can be availed at a fees of 10000, which is quite less than other colleges. Scholarships are provided by MAHADBT, Govt of Maharashtra for Economically Weaker Students & Students of reservation quota. Placement secnario at COmputer Engineering is quite good. Around 10 students got placed in various IT companies through Campus drives & more than 25 were placed through Off Campus Drives. Around 30 students getting placed right after 4th year is the trend here from last 3-4 years.

Campus Life

3.5

The campus is located around 150 kms from both pune & Mumbai. It is huge campus of 500 acres. But it is not developed that well. Most of space available is not used properly. There are few Scattered buildings in the campus here & there. Most of land has trees & bushes. Infrastructure of main College building is excellent. But the boys & Girls hostel are left in pathetic conditions & they at distant place from College building. College does not provide bus facility. So it becomes little painful to reach college especially during rainy season. Being in rural areas, there are very less means of entertainment & living a lavish life here. But if You are looking for staying away from cities & close to nature then DBATU is best place for you. There are few clubs in college like music club, sports club, coding club, etc & they remain quite active. Shivjayanti is celebrated on large scale every year in february. College has its national technical event named CYNOSURE which is held in March every year.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

College hostels are very cheap compared to other colleges. But they are in very pathetic condition & also they are provided on the basis of merit. around 20 boys from each branch are provided hostels. Most of students live in PG or Rented flats & Private hostels at lonere phata which is 3 kms away from college.

Placement Experience:

During my time the first company that visited our organization was Naukri.com, and feel proud to say that i got placed in the same organization. I am very happy with my placement. But talking about my peers. Number of companies who visited to our institute was compared to low as per our expectations. Majority of the companies who visited the institute were sales based organizations. Very less companies for finance and HR field. This made a difficult call for students.
