Because I received a 60 percent or more in my graduation from English, I was allowed to sit for the admissions procedure. The admissions procedure was straightforward. The final grade is the result of two processes: To begin, you must pass a 50-point written admission test for Masters in English. Then you'll have to sit for an online interview with faculty and the department's head. The interview is worth 50 points as well. Your performance is evaluated based on your overall score in both, and a cut-off of 100 points is established. Students who scored 70 or above were chosen.

The English department is well-known for its lively debates and for developing a sense of intellectual curiosity in its pupils. Professors are highly approachable and promote student involvement. You will be exposed to a wide range of topics in literature, languages, and translation, as well as how this knowledge may be applied to the community in which you live. Allotted speeches, interactive doubt sessions, and comments on diverse issues receive equal consideration from the 55 students. Every three months, an internal examination of 30 points is held, followed by a three-month period between the internal test and the final semester exam. Throughout the learning process, the teaching members are really encouraging.

Even an ordinary student may obtain a job since the placements are so outstanding. The usual beginning package is between 15000-20000. It's a good start, and as you work there for years, your income will rise in line with your performance. The minimal proportion for securing placements should be 65 percent, but if there are more seats available, they will accept 60 percent of pupils. As we all know, these organisations are well-known, and various companies provide varied pay packages depending on your interests and work.

Boys and girls have distinct fee structures. The cost of this course is $8.36K for girls and $9000 for guys. The same is true for hostel costs, which are 7000 for girls and 9000 for guys each year. While there are no placements or internships available, you will receive offers for teaching positions all throughout Gujarat as the programme progresses. During the application period, you can apply for the DSW scholarship to receive a discount on your tuition, financial aid, grants, and freeship. You must be a regular/bonafide/enrolled MSU student in order to be eligible for the DSW scholarship. The applicant's annular household income should be less than or equivalent to INR 2,25,000.

Students from many social and cultural backgrounds study together on campus, creating a vibrant environment. You receive a lot of exposure to Indian and other languages because of the pupils' diverse linguistic origins. Although the campus is clean and green, the canteens are not. There are numerous talks done under LSQ for literature students where there are various discussants about poetry and you may attend presentations and ask questions about the same.

The hostel has all of the necessary amenities for a pleasant stay. The neighborhood is lovely and lush. The wardens have been really helpful. Due to the pandemic scenario, the room can only hold two people. A bed, table, chair, fan, and cupboard are all supplied for you. The restrooms and washrooms are basic and unsanitary. Though the cleaning team is well-spoken and kind, they require upkeep. In certain areas of the hostel, the cleanliness is excellent. The mess is cleaned immaculately, and the food is varied. South Indian, Chinese, North Indian, and Western Indian cuisines are all available in excellent condition.
