NMIMS School of Business Management (SBM), Mumbai was established in 1981 by SVKMs NMIMS (deemed-to-be University) as per set UGC norms. Outlook MBA rankings 2020 ranked it 4th among private B-schools and 12th among all the MBA colleges and universities in India. One of the top-ranked Management institutes in India, it is located in the heart of the financial capital of India- Mumbai.I also did my graduation from here. It's the best institute.

The pedagogical approach used here is participant-centred, case-based learning which is supplemented with lectures, problem-solving, in-class and out-of-class group activities, discussions, and simulations.Case studies used in the class are generated by our own faculty and from reputed national and international sources like Harvard Business School and Ivey Publications.The MBA program kick-starts with a comprehensive two-week long foundation program where students are exposed to case-based learning approaches and other topics that create a strong footing for the MBA curriculum. Apart from basic courses in Accounting, Statistics, Business Mathematics and Spreadsheet Modelling, students are also sensitised to the power of social media and the importance of business etiquette.The two-year MBA program is divided into six trimesters of approximately eleven weeks each.The first year consisting of three trimesters offers compulsory courses in the areas of Marketing, Finance, Operations and Decision Sciences, Economics, Human Resources and Behavioural Sciences, Communications, and Strategy. Trimester III also offers limited choice of electives for students to explore their interests before committing to an area of specialisation.In the second year, we offer over 140 electives from diverse domains along with a few compulsory courses. Some electives are offered in collaboration with industry partners such as Google, Cognizant Business Consulting, Ernst and Young and Lowe Lintas. Students are encouraged to make their choices based on individual interests and requirements.In addition to the credit courses, students can sign up for a few audit courses, seminar and various need-based workshops that are offered from time to time.Students are required to undergo a six to eight week long summer internship program between the first and the second year where each student is required to undertake a live project in any organisation from the corporate world.

NMIMS School of Business Management has consistently achieved 100% placement record and has managed to place its students in top companies such as Cognizant, Deloitte, EY, KPMG, PwC, IBM and Microsoft among others.Highest salary offered for MBA was Rs 30.37 lpa and for MBA in HR was Rs 17.97 lpa . I got job with Deloitte with a package of 24lpa .

The Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Students offers financial support to the economically weaker students from General, SC, ST communities and physically handicapped students. Students pursuing professional courses would get Rs. 2000/- per month in the 4th and 5th year. No scholarship is for MBA students. Students can apply for educational loans.

This campus is state of the art with the latest technology. This new campus became operational from the academic year 2014-15. This 3,50,000 square feet campus provides the latest learning technology tools and aims to enhance students learning experience. All classrooms are semicircular shape with plenty of room for faculty and student interaction and class discussions. Besides being a Wi-Fi campus, it has facilities for video streaming in each classroom, video conferencing facility on each floor. The classrooms have multiple screens for simultaneous display/screening of instructional material and are friendly for the differently-abled. The classrooms also have electronic board facilities and public address systems. Every floor has a student lounge for group activities and team exercises. The air-conditioned campus also provides the students with recreational facilities and a large cafeteria.Many events are organised in the campus.

I am a regular student, so I do not know much about the hostel facility. But sometimes I stay with my friends in the hostel, and I feel very great in the hostel. Medical facilities are available 24 hours and 7 days. About 7-8 canteens and 4-5 mess facilities are available. The mess charges a low cost for food. All the facilities are available in the hostel.

Selection for this programme is through the process of GMAC by NMAT and CDPI.Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from a recognized University with minimum 50% marks in the aggregate. Personal interview is conducted for shortlisted ones.
