Entrance Preview
BMCC is a well reputed college in Pune and that's why i opted for his college. There wasn't an entrance exam needed to join my course(BFT) but had to have more than 50% in 12th std so i could apply for the course.
Course Curriculum Overview
Personally, it was the course curriculum which attracted me to take up BFT at BMCC. Although there weren't enough books for our subjects, most of the MBA books helped us study each subject in detail. The faculty was very helpful to guide us through. The course curriculum was very interesting.
Internships Opportunities
There was no provision of internship back then as we were the first batch. Would have been amazing to have an internship while doing the course.
Placement Experience
Placements and job opportunities were scarce as we were the first batch. I am sure it got better as BMCC is a well reputed college in Pune. Although, I did hear some students got job offers at campus. After completing the course, I moved to Mumbai where i got a job in a Japanese shipping company.
College Events
There were regular seminars and sports activities in our college. Personally, I took part in Cricket and Football tournaments. Our college participated in most of college festivals. BMCC's Troika is a well known college festival.It features various literary, intellectual, entertainment and management events. Troika has always had centralised themes like cartoons, TV shows and superheroes.
Fees and Financial Aid
I am not aware of any such facility. But a good scholarship/loan facility definitely helps deserving students and should be offered at all colleges.
Campus Life
Campus life in BMCC was great! Students there are very friendly and so is the faculty. Located behind one of the most happening areas, FC Road, Brihan Maharashtra College of Commere (BMCC) is one of the most renowned and aspiring college for any Commerce student in Pune. The classrooms are quite okay, no air-conditioners. Library is well equipped with finance and accounts books.
Exam Structure
The exam structure was per the guidelines of Pune University. Personally, all the study material was very interesting so it never left me stressed. Can't say it was chilled out either as all the subjects were vast and there was little time to cover all the subjects.
Admission
As it was the first batch of BFT, there were not many takers for this course. More students wanted to join BBA. So it wasn't too difficult to get a seat in BFT. The admission process was swift and easy. Had to fill up basic forms and attach academic certificates like 10th and 12th mark sheets etc.
Faculty
The faculty at BMCC was very friendly and helpful. They helped us with everything we needed. We were the first BFT batch and there weren't enough books in circulation. But with the help of faculty we got enough study material that helped us score good marks in examinations.
