The Heritage Academy is situated in the heart of Kolkata, affiliated with the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of technology abbreviated as MAKAUT. The Heritage Academy (THA) is a multidisciplinary institute providing full time courses like BBA, BCA and BMS. For me, THA was always on my list along with Delhi University and KIT, but I chose THA because it was in my city and it provided the course that I was looking for also at that time of my enrolment the pandemic was still at its nascent stage and was creating havoc. The Bachelors of media science is a full time undergraduate program, the total fee for the course is 3.59 lakhs excluding the hostel. To get admission to this college one needs to clear the CET Exam . Eligible students must appear for WBUT-CET, candidates are chosen based on their CET performance as well as 10+2 marks which have to be more than 80 percent. The admission process is pretty hassled free as well. All the best.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is well made with a lot of options to choose from in the third year, the course has subjects like photography, marketing, film making, etc. The faculties are great oozing with knowledge and experience, they are fun and helpful. we have more than 6 professors on campus and visiting faculties visit the premises on a regular basis.
Fees and Financial Aid
The full-time course costs 3.59 lakhs and we got no concession as we were facing problems paying the fees due to the pandemic. There are no scholarships or aids as such for the students. Also, the students might get placed in college if they are extremely lucky.
Campus Life
As I joined during the pandemic so basically me and my batch mates are yet to experience college life. But we do have an annual fest as well as sports facilities and clubs. The classrooms are well equipped, we have a MAC lab as well, the canteen is great serving hygienic and delicious food. We have a beautiful library which houses hundreds of books.
