IIT(ISM) is the hub of Earth Science Studies. Well experienced teachers. Highly equipped labs. But here a race for CGPA to get placement. So environment is job oriented. But now scenario is lit bit changing and inclination towards research also.
Course Curriculum Overview
New structure has been implemented from the batch of 2019-22. It is short, reduced many subjects but still well maintained. 1:20 Faculty: Student. Teaching method outstanding and many of them are world famous. It was always an Academic Calendar launch that was strictly followed by all. You will get so many west wishes from the professor that you can not fail.

Lots of support from the seniors in party as well as to learn Drilling Techniques, Report making, Planning in CMPDIL.
Placement Experience
There is where most of the placement take place. Alumni relation is very strong here. You will get job if no campus unfortunately. Seniors are like family members. You can approach anywhere anytime and everyone always ready to help if you know typical ISM FORMAT INTRODUCTION then your work will easy.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Total fee for every Semester 30-40k not more than that then for 3 years course maximum 2.5 lakh with hostel, mess, tuition and others. There is chance to get MCM scholarship and INSPIRE( if you are doing continue since graduation). No other stipend so far.
Campus Life
Awesome Campus. Full fledged greenery. SRIJAN, PARAKRAM, CONCETTO These are main fests. There is an air-conditioned seven-storey library and one another old library for research scholars. Differents clubs and NGOs are running still in this pandemic.

Admission
No, Just IIT JAM rank matters. Actually IIT JAM is an entrance exam to get admission in IITs for Post graduation after B.Sc. You should prepare only one subject which was in your graduation and do the same subject preparation in which you have to do Master.
