Remarks
When the JEE Mains results were out, I got my result. Soon I appeared for JoSAA counselling and I got B.Tech. Information Technology at IIIT Gwalior as well as NIT Jalandhar as two options. Comparing the average CTC for both the colleges as well as considering other factors like distance, infrastructure, NIRF ranking, past history, future scope, reviews on different websites I found NIT Jalandhar as the best option for me. I used websites like quora, college pravesh, shiksha.com and many others for relevant information.
Course Curriculum Overview
My first preferance was to choose CSE, IT was my second preferance. In the JoSAA counscelling results I got only IT as the only option to choose (among different colleges). The faculty student ratio for my class is about 1:10
Internships Opportunities
There are many companies that come for internship in my college like Microsoft, Amazon, Goldman Sachs and the stipend they offer is also very good (around 30,000 per month)
Placement Experience
I am still in 3rd year so I don't have much idea about placements, but what I have heard in interactions is that the placements are above satisfactory (7/10) here. Many people get a good placement. As I am in 3rd year, I wont be able to answer this question in great detail.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is as follows : The tuition fee for one semester is about 78500 and 23000 for the mess. There are fee cut-offs exist for OBC-NCL and SC/ST as well as GEN quota with annual family income below 5 lakh per annum. My family income is above 5 lpa , so I didn't get any Financial assistance or stipend.
Campus Life
The campus life is very good, there are cultural fests like Utkansh and technical fests like TechNITi. There is a huge library in our college, it contains almost all the books necessary for our college. The sports opportunities are also good, and there are many workshops and seminars organized in our college. There are many popular clubs in our college like Dance, Theatre, Innovations club, Entrepreneurship club (E-Cell) and coding club (but it's not that great)
Hostel Facilities

Exam Structure
JEE Mains, 2019, 98.3 percentile
Admission
No, there was no Group Discussion, Interview for admission in NIT Jalandhar. Although there is a renowned exam called JEE Mains that has to be given to get an admission into this college. I prepared for the exam by going to coaching for 2 years. The test is given by approx. 13 lakh students every year.
