Anisha Paul's Review On Adamas University, Kolkata

When I came across that Adamas University was ranked as the best university in the state of West Bengal at the 2019 World Leadership Award, it convinced me to apply there. For admission I attempted the entrance exam, AUAT which was conducted over online mode. Since Adamas University was my first choice among all the other management colleges in Kolkata, I immediately enrolled into the course once I was able to crack the test.

I am aspiring to get into the administration field after completion of my education. For this, BBA (Hons) degree from Adamas University seemed perfect. There are around 240 teachers in my college. All of them have masters level or higher degrees in their specializations. My teachers use interactive methods such as presentations and seminars to introduce various concepts. At the end of every semester we are required to attend the final exams. With the help of my teachers, the exams turn out to be quite easy.

Our placement cell helps almost all the students to get placed into various companies. Around 90% of students gets placed. Companies like Byju's, Flipkart, Magicbricks, genpact, etc visits our college. The highest package offered to students is around 10 Lacs per annum. The average package students are offered is around 5 lacs per annum. I have planned to attend the placements drives in my third year to get placed into a good company.

In the first year, the fee cost me about 1,35,000 including all the extra expenses. I didn't need to spend on anything additionally, apart from few reference books. According to the fee structure they provided, the fees for the next 2 years would also be approximately the same. Although I wasn't aware at the time of admission, I later found out that the college offers scholarships in the form of Merit scholarship and Merit-cum-means scholarship.

Our classrooms are enabled for smart classes with help of projectors and mic system. We have a very spacious library with comfortable reading rooms. We also get to enjoy the time during our annual fest called Adinova. At the campus we have facilities for sports such as cricket, football, volleyball, table tennis, chess, basketball, badminton, tennis, and, swimming. Occasionally, activities are arranged by clubs like the CSR club.
