The mode of admission was through KCET and I was honoured to have joined RV College of Engineering since it is the best college for engineering in Bangalore. All the processes were offline and we had to go to the cet centre in Bangalore for the document verification. I got in through the NCC quota to Civil Engineering.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is totally interesting and intriguing. Students find most of the content easy to understand and they can execute them well in the field as well. The faculty count for the civil department is over 30, and the number of students per batch is 120. All the faculties are either assistant professors, associate professors, or professors themselves. exams were easy to clear since the method used to teach was excellent.
Internships Opportunities
Companies such as BMRCL offer internships to students of RV College of Engineering with to stipend. But the key takeaway is that the students gain a lot of exposure. On site explanation of the theoretical aspects of civil engineering is provided, and students can have a piece of in-depth knowledge as well.
Placement Experience
Students gain eligibility for placements right from the end of 5th semester and can apply till the end of the 8th semester. Companies like Accenture, L & T, Goldman Sachs, Kuliza, BMRCL, Deloitte, Phyllo, Iqvia, Cognizant, Capgemini, Airbus, Salesforce, Microsoft, Amazon, Google are few of the many companies that visit our college every year. the highest offer in 2021 was made to 2 people, being 55 lpa and the average runs at around 20 LPA. 75% of the students are placed every year from RV College of Engineering.
Fees and Financial Aid
The CET fee structure is 53460 rs + 36000 rs tuition fee. Comedk and Management quota fees vary from time to time. Scholarships are given plenty and the student must be in touch with the scholarship department.
Campus Life
The college life, social life in RV is amazing! The cultural fest, 8th Mile, is conducted once every 2 years for 3 days and it is exuberant. There are plenty of technical fests conducted every year which helps the students a lot. Library provides books to any student for his/her needs. The liberal collection of books is also done here. All the classrooms have projectors, which help the students learn easily. Sports fests are also conducted in the college and are encouraging in that regard also. There are over 15 clubs run by the students inside RV College of engineering.
