I entered XLRI through XAT. Other options available are CAT and GMAT. A good score along with a good career progression before XL has helped me to enter the prestigious college. Interviews are focused on your past achievements and future aspirations and your zeal to become a manager/ entrepreneur.

Course curriculum is well defined and as per AICTE standards. You have to be rigorous in your studies as expected but you have lot of time still to explore non-curricular and enjoy MBA life. Course is peer-cum-faculty learning based and various electives are available to choose from.

Internships are available to a student of 2 year program and top notch companies visit the campus for a stringent process of selection. Some students even score 2 internships. All are paid high as per industry standards and student get an opportunity to get valuable corporate experiences.

Placements are very good and almost 100% of students get placed every year with at par packages. Roles come in different profiles from top firms and students have their choice to apply as per their preferences.

Loan from all national banks are available. SBI XL branch is top facility in this regard with minimal paperwork and lowest amount of hassles.

Campus life is awesome. Gender ratio is satisfactory and diversity is superb. You get to see all type of people. Extracurricular are abundant with various societies formed among students to nurture raw talent. On campus Sports facilities are very good and chances to compete are high.

Alumni network is biggest and stellar in XL. Almost all top companies have one or more alumni from XL.

Exam are frequent but spaced out. Regular studies and faculty guidance ensure that it is never hectic and students get their own time. exams are as per AICTE standards and are very much in detail conceptual and application based. Methodology is as per AMBA standards.

Entrance exam is followed by application to the institute and after results are declared, shortlists are announced. Candidates have to appear for GD and PI rounds to get into final merit list.

Faculty are renowned, experienced and helpful. Studying from the experts is the feel obtained and it is a great learning experience to know from the gurus of their respective domains. They are residential on campus and ready to help at any odd hour in every field of life.
