Entrance Preview

No entrance exam is taken. Admission process is merit based. I scored 91% marks in 12th board exams and cleared the cutoff of the college. I opted for this college because it is one of the best colleges of university of delhi.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Course is good, semester system is good. Generally 2 subjects are compulsory and 2 subjects are chosen by the student as per his or her interest. 4 subjects are there in one semester. Burden of study on students is reduced. Books are provided by the college library. Sufficient research can be done by the student. The problem is that the books are old, latest material is not provided.

Internships Opportunities

Yes the college provides internships, societies are formed to provide internships related to their field. Stipend depends on the qualities of the student. They generally provide 4-5k pm.

Placement Experience

4

I have not considered it yet, but companies come, students get placed every year but the stipend is low so the students do not join they want to continue their studies further otherwise placements are there job opportunities are there.

College Events

4

Various events are conducted throughout the year but jan to Feb is the fest season. Every college is imdulged in various kinds of activities. Every society like dance, music, dramatics, etc arrange their own events. The period is joyful.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure of particularly khalsa college is expensive. It charges 20,000 per year where as other college charge less than 10,000 annually. 20k includes all i.e tuition fee, library charges, water, electricity, maintenance, etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

No i have not availed any scholarship but the college provides various scholarships and fee concessions to SC/ST and sports students. There is no OBC quota in the college. I have not taken education loan.

Campus Life

4

Campus life is awesome, no campus is there in india like the north campus of university of delhi. It is the best because is has no boundaries its an open campus.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

There is no boys hostel in the college, only girls hostel is there. So girls will tell about that. PG rentals are high i.e 10,000 per month including food, 3 meals a day. The quality of food is not very good but it differs from pg to pg.

Alumni/Alumna

There are various alumni. They encourage us to dream big and follow them. Seniors are very helpful, they are always ready to help in any way they can.

Exam Structure

Exams are conducted in the end of the semester i.e in april and November. Class tests are conducted for internal marks which consist of 25 marks out of 100.

Admission

First of all the student has to register online on the official DU website and submit the registration fee. Then wait for the cutoffs and if the student clears the cutoff of any college under DU go to the college, get your documents verified, submit a copy of all the documents and submit the fees.

Faculty

3.5

Faculty is good, all the teachers are highly qualified. All the teachers are doing research in their field. Studying is a different kind of stuff from teaching. They may know how to study but they do not know how to teach. We can find a better teacher in private schools or colleges or may be in tuition. But they are not qualified as much as college professors and the job is given on the basis of qualifications not on teaching ability.

Being very passionate about law it brought me closer towards the subjects i thought I'd never like. It's vast curriculum has made me like a lot of subjects and has also given me a real life applications and further academic achievement however I feel like the curriculum should focus on law subjects from the very beginning and teaching could be improved by further interactive session between students and faculty.

The curriculum is good for the real world applications as the course teaches us about the practical work. They can improve their course by adding more moot court practices during the semester and by giving the students the opportunity to practically utilise the bookish knowledge they are gaining.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is very much practical knowledge based and helps the students to grow there legal reasoning which helps them to prosper in the profession. Also it helps them to read and correlate the real time judgements being passed, this curriculum prepares the students to understand the reasoning behind the judgements. Though the curriculum is practical knowledge based it still requires many improvements as these case are old and some of them are even overruled, also the we have to write very long answers which needs to be changed as new methods like ooen text book exams can be adopted to improving.

After 2 years of integrated courses, you can become eligible for a job. In law, there is no company, but if you have good communication skills, you will be placed in one of the high courts or supreme courts under a senior lawyer. I don't know much about packages. My plan was to go to Oxford University for further studies.
