Admissions to all B.Tech programs are made through J.C.E.C.E.B (Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examinations Board). J.C.E.C.E Board conducts counselling for admission in engineering colleges in Jharkhand. When J.C.E.C.E Board releases notice for counselling for admission in engineering colleges, you just have to apply through your JEE Mains Score. A merit list will be prepared by the JCECE Board of all students who have applied for the counselling, according to merit. In that merit list, you will get your CML Rank. The higher your CML Rank/position in the merit list, the better will be your chances of getting BIT Sindri & a good branch. To be in the safe zone, you must have to be in the top 900 CML rank for getting any seat in BIT Sindri. Depending on your CML Rank, you will be allotted a seat in BIT Sindri by JCECE Board. After getting the allotment letter, you just have to follow the admission procedure as stated by BIT SINDRI on their website & you will get admitted to BIT Sindri.

The course curriculum is regularly updated & it is as per the industry's latest demands. The faculty members are very highly qualified & knowledgeable. Most of the faculty members have a PhD degree. The professors have in-depth knowledge about their subjects. Their way of teaching is also good. They encourage students to ask doubts & are ready to help them. The term exams are timely & take place according to the designated schedule. In a semester, two mid-semester (called in short as Mid-Sems) exams are conducted & then the final end-semester exam (End-Sem) is conducted. If you follow the professor's instructions thoroughly, it will be very easy to score very good marks in the exams. The professors tell about the most probable questions expected from a topic which would most likely be able to come & if you follow them, you will be able to pass with a good score.

The college provides ample internship opportunities for students. The college has tied a partnership with INTERNSHALA where students of BIT Sindri can easily get internships according to their field of interest like content writing/web development/maths/programming/teaching, etc. There are a lot of companies in all the diverse variety of categories like Out Of The Box Solutions, Camp K12, Eternal Robotics (in case of programming), Sagoon Incorporation, Students Konnect (in case of content writing), Solvitude, Doubtnut (in case of quality check & doubt solving), EMBLET, Wednesday Solutions (in case of Android App Development), Imaginate, CITS Worldwide (in case of Game Development), etc. & lot more which offer lucrative internship opportunities to students. The stipend in all categories can vary from Rs. 1000 to maximum Rs. 15000 depending on skills. The internships can be availed as part-time & work-from-home. The duration can vary from 1 month to 6 months.

BIT Sindri being a very reputed institution in Jharkhand state, the placements are quite good. Hard-working & deserving students easily get jobs. The Training & Placement Cell of college assists students to develop skills & get their dream jobs. Students become eligible for campus placements in their 4th year, in the 7th semester. This year, a total of 50+ companies visited & no. of students offered placements were 341. The average package was 5.05 LPA & the highest package was 12.7 LPA which was offered by INFO EDGE. Overall, the placement percentage is 70-80%.

BIT has a vibrant social life.
