Nit jamshedpur review

I had got a seat in college through csab counselling. Then I went to the college website for document verification, registration and fee payment. The admission process went without any problem. I went through General merit and had no reservation. Writing and qualifying for the JEEmains exam is compulsory for taking a seat in my college.

Nit Jamshedpur is one of the best colleges in India for my branch. My class strength is 107. There are sufficient faculties who are experts in their subject. They are highly qualified. Most of the teachers have done PHD from reputed institutions like IIT, nit etc. There is a good learning atmosphere here. The number of faculties: students ratio is good. There is standard education here, our professors teach in a very nice way.They explain concepts in the class and tell us to refer to standard books of the respective subject. They give us problems to solve on our own. Our exams happen very promptly as given in the academic calendar. Midsem is out of 30 marks and endsem is out of 50 marks. Exams are of high level, it is not possible to clear it by studying at last moment. Regular study habit is required to clear it successfully.

Many companies like tata steel come for internships to our college. The internships occur during the end of 3rd year. In the 4th year, all are busy with projects. There is good exposure in our college to become good professionals.

We become eligible for placements from the 3rd year end onwards. Many companies visit our campus. Giant companies like tata steel come for my branch. The highest package of my branch is 11 lakh per annum and the average is 6-8lakh per annum. Overall 92%got placed this year. There are many companies like Vedanta which comes for placement. The highest package was offered by Microsoft. 77 %got placed from metallurgical and materials science engineering. I plan to be a good engineer with the skills required.

Fees I paid was 94,000 and 77,575 in 1st and 2nd semester respectively. They didn't take hostel fees and institute fees due to covid this time. There are a lot of scholarship opportunities for those who have less financial income. Even fees are reduced to those who have less family income. Fee remission is available for needy ones.

Culfest is conducted every year.It is very colorful in our college. Extracurricular activities are given scope in our college for overall development of students.There are activities like dancing, singing and various others, student's talents are seen here.Diamond jubilee lecture hall complex was inaugrated this year,which is meant for taking classes for students. Our classes have all facilities required and very good looking. It is very well maintained. There are many clubs in our college, each club for different activities like technical teams, aawahan,nss,pcon etc.I am in team revanta which is solar car project.
