IIIT Allahabad :)

After getting the desired course through jee counselling we were instructed to report on campus. The admission process was to be done by the AAA section of college administration. All the staff involved were very helpful and guided us through all the steps involved in the admission.

For each course, a faculty is alloted a batch of 60 students. The semester evalution is mainly divided into 3 major components, C1, C2 and C3. C1 comprises of first half of the syllabus, C2 comprises of the second half and C3 is all the syllabus combined. The assesment pattern depends on the faculty. Mostly, it is of the form - project + viva followed by a written test. The tests mostly focus on conceptual problem solving rather than plain thoery part.

Sharing details of internship companies and offered stipends are not allowed. However, most major tech companies visit the campus to hire students for internship roles. The internship season starts after the 2nd year and summer breaks are over.

Internship placement starts after completing 2nd year while full-time placements start after completing 3rd year. In 2020, over 150 companies visited the college for placements. Over 92% of the students were selected. The highest CTC offered was 61.65 LPA while the average CTC was 21.85 LPA. Generally, each 6-months semester has a tuition cost of 70-80k. The fees increase by 10% each semester. Currently, due to the ongoing pandemic, the fee hike policy has been put on pause. Sophomore students can opt for a job on campus as a Teaching Assistant (TA).

IIIT Allahabad hosts a cultural festival each year which is known as Effervescence. It is one of the most prodigious fests over colleges of North India. IIIT Allahabad also hosts an annual technical festival Aparoksha. The classrooms are vast and equipped with amenities such as AC, digital board, etc. IIIT Allahabad also has a library on campus which gives students access to various popular books in the field of engineering (Mostly IT and ECE).

First year students are allotted a room to recently built hostel building BH5, sophomores are allotted room to BH4. Sophomores have a choice to opt for either a single room or a shared room. Each hostel room contains a table, chair and a cupboard. All the hostels are equipped with wifi infrastructure as well as a LAN port to every room, which gives students access to the institute's network as well as 100mbps internet.
