Things you need to know about RGUKT Ongole

RGUKT's main motive is "Learning by doing" and that's how everything works inside the university. This made rgukt as one the top university with yearly high rankings in gate. It has the best infrastructure for the students who want to develop themselves in all technical aspects. They provide laptops to each and every student from the beginning (PUC - Btech) with good internet facility. The ones who passed out with good percentail in 10th class can apply for rgukt through the website rgukt.in and the selected ones will receive scholarship from the government . It gives much more importance to the applicants belongs to rural area. In the recent days rgukt is conducting entrance exam to the 10th class student because of covid issues , gouvernement made everyone pass. For me the counselling done in 2016. There are 4 campuses for rgukt and I went to Nuzvid campus for the counselling. Seriors of the campus will handle the counselling work voluntarily and helps everyone admission process.

The course is similar to cart subjects. There is only one course and it mainly deals with maths, physics, chemistry and information technology. All teaching staff is qualified ones with high experience in the subject. The teacher: student ratio will be like 1:20. The teaching style is a little bit different here, we have to use laptops to learn stuff and teaching will be done through a projector. Exams will be conducted weekly to test whether the student is following the subject properly or not. There are 3 mid-exams and one end sem exam.

my friends got selected in Wipro, TCS, codetantra, head run, moonshot, riktam and so. Some got 25k pm and some got 12.5 pm (only 2-3 months internship). I am not sure about the roles and all. Anyways we are the first batch and the campus is new and due to covid we unable to achieve a few of the things related to internships but anyways we are not using it as an excuse. As far as I know, 7/10 students are doing internships and some doing freelancing.

I belongs to the first batch. My campus started in 2016. So our course will be completed in 2022. This year many of the students got selected in some good companies and they doing work from home. There is no past history of placements in the campus because we are the first batch.

Fees is totally depend on caste, gender. The basic cost for the study which includes hostel, mess, tuition is 36,000. Again government will sanction the scholarship. I belong to the general category and I get scholarships of 25000. So it means I have to pay 11,000.

Every year there will be tech fests, convocations and we celebrate festivals on the campus itself. Most of the books that are needed for the course will be available in the central library. Every year there will be a sports meet and the ones who perform well will be taken care of by the PET based on the sportsman's interest. We have some amazing organizations here namely HHO(Helping Hands Organisation) . The main motive of this organization is to help students if they get any kind of medical issues. The students club is majorly focused on student welfare.

the campus is having hostels of its own. There is no need to register separately for the hostel because students have to stay in the hostel itself and there is no day scholar thing at all. Hostel fees and mess fees will be included in the 36,000 overall costs for the study. The quality of the meal is good. You don't need to think much about it.
