IERT COLLEGE REVIEW

I have applied for Chandigarh University (computer science)branch and the reason to not attend the college is due to its high fees structure there fees are around 1,80,000/year and 90,000/year hostel fees. Yes, I have applied OBC quota because I came under the government criteria of the other backward class by caste certificate issued by the state government of up. In the BTech, course age doesn't matter because u have only two attempts 1st attempt is when you are appearing for class 12th board and 2nd attempt is when you have completed the board. I am the last student according to my rank to get electronics branch. The counseling is done online by aktu University once you get college then you have to visit the college for fees payment and document verification process.

I have chosen the electronic branch because I am interested to know about the diode and overall working of electronic devices and how the communication satellite work. It is a very interesting course.67:4, good faculty but the problem about faculty is that it changes very frequently no faculty stays here for a long term except few. The faculty is well qualified Mtech, Ph.D. holders. Most of the faculty passed their higher studies from Motilal Nehru national institute of technology. Very good teaching method with practical every day. Term exams are very timely, they are moderate if you have studied in the class you can pass the exam easily otherwise it will be difficult.

From 8th sem students are eligible for campus placement, Tcs, Wipro are the company who visited the campus for placement, no of offers made are30,40 mainly in the computer science, electronic, industrial production branch. The avg package is 2.5-3.5lakh .highest package offered is 6 lakh. My plans after getting the degree are to the qualified gate for further study.

The fess structure of every B.tech branch is the same. It is 63,000/year including caution money and we have to pay 7685 extra money every semester as exam fees. If you opted for a hostel their fees are also 63000/year including lodging and mess. The student also gets scholarships from here but I am not eligible for it that's why I didn't know the name some of them are fees waiver also. Campus placement is very low mainly the placement is for Computer science, electronics branch and industrial production brand the stipend they get is around 20,000 per month.

The annual fest name is Utsav it is conducted in winter. Books are easily available in the library it is known by the name central library inside the college campus. New buildings are well maintained like Vishwarya building, Ramanujan building. Others are not in a good condition. Here sports also take place known as kreeda kumbh. There are lots of curriculum activities that take place on the campus. There are so many groups run by students such as literary club, hacking earth,code69 club and lots more.

1st year, 3rd year, the 4th-year hostel is far from college around 1km. The building is in very poor condition. It is not maintained very dirty, poor lighting. The 2nd-year hostel is well maintained, well lighting, neat, and tidy but the student who opted for a hostel for the 1st year are only eligible to take the 2nd-year hostel. The meal quality is good. We get 4meal per day snacks in the morning and evening and dal roti sabzi in the other two meals. You have to write an application to the hostel warden, and according to your rank hostel is allotted.
