Remarks

I had applied to IMT Ghaziabad, IMI Delhi, KJ Somaiya and GIM. The reason I chose NMIMS over them is that it has a better ranking than the aforementioned colleges and moreover interactions with former students assured me that the college provided followed a curriculum that would enable one to develop into the professional they wish to be. NMIMS awards a lot of weightage to NMAT score hence anyone who has a good score has a very good chance to clear the process

Course Curriculum Overview

4

NMIMS follows a curriculum that is largely case study based. Case studies are mostly based on or at least tend to simulate real life incidents, therefore, allowing students to take a peek into what the outside world will hold for them. Moreover, classroom discussions with peers further enable students to look at things from different perspectives. The faculty: student ratio at NMIMS is decent with 1 faculty for 50-60 students. Most faculty members have postdoctorate in their respective areas of studies and/or come with a lot of industry experience. There are 3 terms across a year with end term exams being held towards the end of each trimester along with regular assignment submissions, presentations and quizzes.

Internships Opportunities

4

A number of live projects, corporate projects and part time internship opportunities keep coming in throughout the year. Part time internship opportunities are both paid and unpaid. Apart from summer internship stints which serve as one of the primary sources of learning for B-school students, part time opportunities also allow students to pick up relevant skills.

Placement Experience

3.5

NMIMS has a large number of renowned companies coming in for both summer internship placements and final placements. Companies coming from different industries offer a myriad of roles to students to choose from. The highest package for final placements in 2021 went up to 34.72 LPA while the average package offered was 18.45 LPA.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is similar to that of most premier B-schools across the country. The tuition fee is INR 10,41,000 per annum. I am not aware of any campus job programs, financial assistance or scholarships although there might be some such programs available if enquired about.

Campus Life

3.5

NMIMS has a large number of clubs - core committees, functional cells, interest based cells and cultural clubs. These student bodies conduct events throughout the year keeping the batch engaged and enthused. NMIMS also provides students access to a large number of databases and research portals to help with case study competitions and academic projects.

Interview Experience

3.5

The admission process comprised of a case discussion followed by a personal interview. We were divided into groups of 9-10 and handed over a business case to discuss over the next 20 minutes. We received a problem based case study where we were expected to come up with qualitative yet pragmatic solutions. The CD was followed by a personal interview with a 3 member panel. Questions largely focused on personal experiences and situations. I prepared for these rounds by looking up previous year CD topics and preparing basic hygiene questions while keeping up with current affairs.

Placement Experience:

During my time the first company that visited our organization was Naukri.com, and feel proud to say that i got placed in the same organization. I am very happy with my placement. But talking about my peers. Number of companies who visited to our institute was compared to low as per our expectations. Majority of the companies who visited the institute were sales based organizations. Very less companies for finance and HR field. This made a difficult call for students.

Placement Experience:

The placement scenerio at our caollege can be described as average overall. Most recruiting company belong to the banking and supply chain sectors. Marketing students generally have better placement opportunities, while finance and HR students do get job, though the package are not very high. Buswiness analytics has limited scope as very few companies visit the campus for the roles in that domain.

To be honest there are placements but the placements are like no one want to be there it is just something unacceptable for the HR students . The promises the long talks are all false and they doesn't focus on students future and career rather they care for just attendance

Course Curriculum Overview:

I did choose this course as I am genuinely interested in management and if it is healthcare management that makes me excited. There is a different teaching faculty for each and every subject. The faculties are highly qualified market professionals and experts who teach in an extremely interactive and practical way. They are very supportive. There was one exam conducted per semester which included projects and written exams.
