I have applied for many colleges after my intermediate education but I found CMR engineering college to be apt for me to get focused on my studies and other extracurricular activities part. The admission process was easy to understand by a student without any doubts. Everything was explained in detail by the staff available in the college. The admission criteria are just to complete intermediate education for pursuing a bachelor's degree or the student should be from a Diploma background to join in the second year of the same bachelor degree course. My admission process went very smoothly with all the sufficient information provided by the staff members on September 05th, 2014. I was provided all the details about the college, the course I chose, the clubs in the institution, the sports club and last but not least the placement cell and also about the alumni of the college. The principal and hod words on the day of orientation were very inspiring and motivating.

I chose this course as I am more interested in computers and my interest in learning new technologies. The course consists of 4 years which is again divided into 8 semesters, 2 semesters per year. Each semester has two mid-term examinations along with laboratory exams which were conducted within the college itself. The semester exams were conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad once per year along with a supplementary examination if someone might have failed in the examination to give them a second chance. The overall difficulty of the examination is moderate when compared to other private institutions or Universities. One should score a minimum of 35% in every subject to be promoted into the next semester. The staff was well-mannered and very skillful who helped us to understand each and every concept in detail. They even provide one on one discussion if we have any queries.

Many reputed companies offer internships that match the skillsets of the student with a decent stipend according to the market standards. Many students are taken into the same company which they internship based on their performance. The roles offered are suitable to the student's skillsets and had a great scope to perform in the future. All this is achieved with the tremendous efforts from the training and placement department who are helpful throughout the journey.

As the name suggests CMR, Think Placements. Think CMR. is the apt line to describe the institution. All the students are eligible for placements while there are in the second year and are actively allowed to participate in placement drives from the third year. Many top companies like Amazon, Kantar, Capgemini, and many more have visited and still approaching the campus for placement drives. Many of the students have cracked the interviews and an into these reputed companies. On an avg. students are offered with a min. of 3.5 - 4 LPA up to a max. of 11 LPA based on their performance and skillsets. Every 6 in 10 students gets placed in a company by the guidance provided by the training and placement cell which yields an avg. of 55-60% of placement percentage. I was into an MNC after graduating from college with a decent package and scope to grow in the organization.

While I was studying in the college the fees were around Thirty-five thousand INR. Which can be reimbursed through Government provided schemes such as Fee Reimbursement and Scholarship. There was no fee hike in the four years of my course but was charged a nominal charge when the institute was recognized by NBA. The course is very much affordable with the competition available without any loss in the education quality.

Exuberance is the annual fest conducted every year during the month of November or December. Annual fests include lots of fun with ultimate entertainment with news celebrity guests every year. All the students have an equal opportunity to participate in the fest. Many students are awarded in the fest based on their performance and also their academic achievements along with extracurricular achievements. Not only the annual fests, but the institute also conducts regular technical fests once or twice in a semester comprising of many technical, cultural, and fun activities. The college is equipped with a central library consisting of n number of books which students can lend for a time period of 15 - 30 days 4 books at a time, merit students can avail 6 books at a time. Every classroom is equipped with a projector which makes the education digital and fun to learn. The classrooms are clean and hygienic with a lot of spaciousness. Apart there are cultural, sports & photography clubs as well.
