Everything about Bsc ( IT ) at Patliputra University

I applied for Bsc Information technology at Chandigarh University, but couldn't get into it due to low marks in Chandigarh University's entrance test. I got admitted to Patliputra University with an OBC caste certificate and an EWS certificate. I got relaxation in the merit list with these certificates. There were 5-10 marks differences with the EWS certificate. The admission criteria are to apply for online counseling at ppu.ac.in after the college notification which normally comes after the declaration of 12th results. , Minimum percentage required to appear in the merit list is around 75-80% . The maximum age required to apply for the course is 24 years. The admission process is simple, you have to reach the college after your name appears either in merit list 1 , 2 or 3 . After documents verification like transfer certificate , 12th marksheet , provisional offer letter, and adhar card. After the successful payment of 5000, your admission is confirmed to the college.

I choose bsc information technology, because it is my favorite subject and I enjoyed it during IP periods in 12th, this motivated me to opt for IT in higher studies. The faculty here at the campus are highly qualified and well experienced, they teach the subject matters very effectively. All teachers act friendly with the students and there is a healthy environment. The student's teacher ratio is nearly 30:1. All the teachers are either Btech in IT or experienced NITians The teaching language is in English - Hindi and some regional languages. Doubt solving is given preference in the classroom. Terms exam happens thrice in a year, the last exam is quite difficult and you have to study regularly to pass it. The question level is above a moderate level.

The cost for each semester is around 6000 / year , and its affordable as compared to other institutions offering the same course. The total cost of the course is around 18000 + some additional charges like exam fees . The fees hike is negligible , it raised 1000 only from last year. The college offers scholarships under cheif minister post matric scholarship scheme , A lumpsum of 10,800 rupees is given to the students on yearly basis . The campus placement at the college is not satisfying , 3 out of 10 students get placed each year.

There is no specific annual fest celebrated in the college. From time to time different cultural programs are conducted by the college administration. College owns its own library which contains thousands of books on each and every disciple, subject matters books are available to be issued from the library. The classroom is accommodated with light bulbs, fans, smart boards, a bench, and desks with tiled floors. For extracurricular activities, cricket, volleyballs, badminton, eassy writing and many others are conducted between four groups of the IT students. There isn't any such physical group or student association, there's only a telegram group for administrative notices.
