My College Life

College management really needs to work on placements because a job is the only thing that student wants after graduation. Secondly, the facilities in the hostel really need to be improved or no student would chose to stay in the hostel.

I appeared in UPTU entrance exam and my rank was 32,247. I opted for this college because i heard about the United Group which has a good reputation in Allahabad branch.

The course of 4 years covers almost all the subjects required for technical knowledge. First year includes extra subjects from other departments also.Like my branch was Computer Science and in first year we were taught subjects like Mechanics, Electronics, Electrical etc which were not related to my department.

I don't remember any company that came to our college for internship.The companies only came for placement instead of giving interships.

Almost all the events were celebrated in the college but most of them were celebrated by hostel students without any support from college authority. We used to celebrate Holi, Diwali, Janmashtami on our own. Republic Day and Independence day were celebrated by college.College holds only one event in a year and calls the most unknown music band or a celebrity.

Fee-structure is the same as the other UPTU colleges.I don't remember the exact figures.I think it was Rs1,10,000 for college and Rs.60,000 for the hostel.For 2nd year the college fees was reduced to Rs.90,000 (not sure).You will have to pay the complete fees for one year.

My college life was good. Along with studies, i enjoyed a lot in my 4 years. Hostel students always organize sports events and every department organizes it's own fest which includes event like singing, dancing, debates and other events related to their department.

In my first year, i didn't have any interaction with my seniors while my friends used to meet them a lot. It was a new environment for me so i used to hesitate. But later i found that some of my school seniors were in the same college so i met them sometimes.

Exam structure was fine. 20 marks for sessionals and rest for Pre-University test. They would tell you one week before the exam starts so make sure you have started preparing. Labs were not very good. Half of the computers won't even work and others won't have the required software installed. Labs were not frequent.4-5 labs in a week wasn't hectic.
