Remarks
There are two major ways of taking admission in JECRC, Either through REAP or direct Admisssion though you can get better courses if you go through REAP. The colleges I applied for were RTU KOTA, MBM Jodhpur, and Poornima University I opted for JECRC because the City of Jaipur provides many facilities as opposed to any other city in Rajasthan. I also availed My OBC quota. It is pretty easy to get admission into my program there are no such defined minimum Criteria. There was no counseling I was told to appear on the college campus on a date provided to me by REAP administration with all my required documents and fees for the first semester. Students who wish to avail hostel facilities have to fill out a form on the same day as hostel seats are filled pretty quickly although if you want better facilities you can choose to live in jecrc university hostel they are very expensive.
Course Curriculum Overview
My current Course is Electronics and communication this particular course is a bit tedious and demands attention but provides with a lot of opportunities if studied right in India you can not only opt for government jobs but private jobs as well students from this branch also qualify for jobs Meant for students in the CSE branch. Faculty members are very learned most of the professors are either Ph.D. holders or Currently pursuing their Ph.D. degree they are helpful but the student needs to approach them first if you attend their classes regularly they are sure to help you in many ways. There are two midterms during each sem plus an RTU exam at the end the semester. Passing this exam is not very hard but if you want to score well you need to attend regular classes and pay very close attention.
Placement Experience
the college is very reputation amongst some of the very big companies students become eligible for campus placement from 5th Semester. Companies like HP, Accenture, Samsung, TCS, Infosys, Cognizant visit the campus during placement times. this year one of the students from my branch i.e. ECE got placed in HP for a package of 10 lakhs per annum. Most placements are what you would expect from a private college but if you work hard enough you can get a high-paying job from the campus. Around 70%-80% of students get placed .my plans after getting my degree is to get a good-paying job and maybe work on a startup.
Fees and Financial Aid
As of now, each fee of each sem is 38500/- . I belong to a category of students under government TFWS(Tuition Fee waiver scheme) under this scheme Tuition fee of all the semesters during my course will be waivered meaning i only need to pay lab fee, developmental fee, Security fee(refundable at the end of course) and some other charges which come in a total of 11500/- each semester during the admission there are some finance firms present in the campus which will provide you with thier services hassel free.
Campus Life
Our college annual fest also known as Renaissance is one of the biggest college events in all of Rajasthan. It is a multi-day festival with all sorts of programs one can imagine you can look for after movies of some Renaissance on youtube. The campus has multiple libraries each filled with all the books related to all the courses in the college they are very quiet and provide a great environment for study sessions. Classroom is very spacious and depending on which block of the college you study in can vary a lot newer blocks and build such as classrooms in C and B block are your normal run of the mill classrooms but the room in block D are equipped with air conditioners and have a curved and stepping up seating arrangement. Sports in JECRC is mostly run by the students themselves all the team are very cooperative but you need to be present at the practice daily, there are many good and talented players in the college which are ready to help you learn if you are willing to learn.
Hostel Facilities
There are two hostels for boys commonly called BH-1(boys hostels-1) and BH-2. BH-1 is a two-seater hostel with a common toilet and bathrooms while BH-2 is a three-seater hostel with an attached bathroom and toilet. Food is something you should not have high expectations from if i were to define it in one word it would be "digestible" although the specials are very delicious if the mess cooks are in a good mood. The fee for a hostel is 42500/- per sem plus security deposit (5000/-) students from 2nd year onwards receive free Internet its not very high speed but it's very helpful. The locality around the campus is still developing but anything you need as a student will be available on walking distance rooms and PG of all sorts are available at a stone throw distance from the college campus there are many affordable hotels and dhabas plus many cafes to chill in.
