Remarks
NMIMS, Mumbai - minimum marks for each section i.e. quantitative skills, language skills, and logical reasoning was 80. There is no min age for entrance, the student must be a graduate. Our admission process had 3 stages - 1. We had to write an essay on the topic - the topic could be an abstract topic/ current affair/ situation based. 2. Interview where questions related to cv, work experience, current affairs were asked. 3. Resume scanning. Overall - weightage is given to NMAT score and these 3 rounds for the final selection of the students for the MBA program. The NMAT test syllabus is similar to CAT just a few additional topics like sentence correction, grammatical errors, etc need to be prepared for. It is an adaptive test with no negative marking.
Course Curriculum Overview
NMIMS is recognized for finance and many good financial companies also come to the campus to hire students. There is great peer learning opportunity due to the huge batch size and the teachers are also very knowledgeable. All the teachers have oneself experience and are masters in their subject. they are always willing to spare extra time to take extra doubt sessions and also guide students with case studies. The student-teacher ratio is approx 56 students for 1 teacher. All the teachers are very approachable. the exams and projects are held timely so that students keep on revisiting the topics taught. The exams are application-based, so if the student understands the topic well he/ she will be able to clear the exam with flying colors.

The placement is really good with a 100% placement guarantee to the students. The maximum, min and average, as well as the companies, visited details are published regularly on the college website. All students do get placed and there is ample opportunity and companies that offer roles serving wide interests to the students. My plans after the degree are to be in a private equity firm and become an investment associate.

The fee is 22 lakhs for 2 years. This includes the physical books cost and tuition fees. there is no scholarship in the college as such. The placement opportunities are very good here with a 100% placement guarantee. The details about the average stipend and salary as well as the companies visiting the campus are available on the website.
Campus Life
The campus is a five-star building, with a lively atrium that has beautiful lightings, 14 lifts, and a piano as well. The library has a big reading room, Bloomberg cell, and really well-managed bookshelves. You can borrow a book at a time for 1 week using an ID card, there is a photocopy service within the library as well where students can get few pages of the library books/someone's notes photocopied. the classroom has a smartboard and 2 whiteboards with conference-style sitting arrangements. The campus overall is fully AC. The canteen food is really hygienic and tasty with a lot of vegetarian food variety. outside the college is also the famous Anand vada-pav stall. There are many clubs in the college for people with all kinds of interests and all the clubs are very active and always encouraging participation from the students.
Interview Experience
In online mode, we had an essay writing process, where we were given some time to write about the topic. The topic can be an abstract topic or something related to current affairs like what are your views on power crisis or china US political relationship etc, or a situation based question that demands one to showcase his/ her managerial skills or some ethical dilemma. the interview is based on current affairs and CV. I gave many interviews mocks and also read about current affairs to prepare for the rounds. learning few quotes in order to start a passage well and at the same time trying to bring in as many different perspectives as possible will do the job for the essay round. For the interview, it's important that you are well dressed, well prepared about the introduction (try to be creative on this may be introducing yourself in a story form), and well prepared about questions on your CV. I would personally recommend students to undergo few stress interviews as well.
