I have been applied for BIT Mesra but later I denied to take admission because the academic fees and accommodation is too costly. Admission criteria for my program are through JEE MAINS. For the general category, you need to score at least 90% to get admission. For OBC - 88% For SC- 80% For ST- 72% You can give two more attempts to qualify JEE MAINS exam for getting admission to a university like this. The admission process is very smooth and there is no complexity.

I can't say all teachers are helpful but 90% of teachers are cooperative and some of them are very friendly and help you not only in the semester exams but the competitive exams like GATE also. Many of them are Ph.D. holders and are qualified from the Institutions like IIT and NIT. They are very knowledgeable and experienced. The course curriculum is relevant. From the beginning, you will find competition and different Opportunities to work out your soft skills. Clubs and societies are always available for you through which you can take part in various events which further helps to know who are you. From the 2nd year, you would get industrial training and interns Opportunities in MNC as well. Semester exams are not too easy contrary not very hard. The syllabus is being updated from time to time. The pass percentage is 95% in semester exams. The environment is competitive and creative.

Here almost every student got internships in different companies. Some of them are:- 26 students got intern in Tata Steel with a stipend of 25000. 4 students got intern in Google with a stipend of 50000. 78 students got to intern in TCS with a stipend of 7000. 33 students got to intern in Vedanta with a stipend of 10000. 19 students got to intern in the Aditya Birla group with a stipend of 8000. Top recruiting companies are:- 1) Tata Steel 2) Info edge 3) Vedanta 4) JSW steel 5) Deloitte 6) TCS 7) Hindustan Unilever 8) Multi-core ware 9) Planets Park 10) Aditya Birla group.

BIT Sindri offers 10 courses in B.Tech which constitutes the strength of 680 students, out of which 341 students were placed. The fees structure is very satisfactory in BIT Sindri. The one-year academic fee structure is about 15000 whereas 1-year hostel fees are 7000 and mess fee (1 year) is 30000. Therefore total 52000 in a year you have to pay. There are various scholarships you will get based on your income and performance in semester exams. * Income-based scholarship named E-Kalyan. provided by the government of Jharkhand if your income is less than 1 lac with condition that you should have OBC/SC/ST certificate. * Performance-based scholarship is provided by different alumni of BIT Sindri who reached in high post. Besides these many internship opportunities are also there for you from where you can earn as well as acquired practical knowledge. Campus life is not like IIT but you don't feel like a boring government college, its campus is almost 450 acres with lush greenery and natural woods. Outside the campus, there are many adventurous places where you can enjoy yourself with your friends in your free time. There are various clubs and society are also there for you, Some of them are:- 1) Prayaas India 2) HnCC 3) Model Club 4) Leo Club 5) Dhatvika 6) photography club 7) Sarjana 8) Startup cell 9) Rotract 10) SAE Labs facilities in BIT Sindri are average, not up to the mark but satisfying. You will be happy to know that branches like Metallurgy, electrical Mechanical, chemical and civil got NBA accreditation recently which help in the improvement of the infra like labs and workshops. The library is so huge and has a very good collection of books, many new and updated books are available. But the cons is that you can't use Library for 24 hours.

Wifi is available but not so good, speed is average, it's is around 300 kb/sec. Hostel infra is very good and well cleaned but room accommodation is not satisfying. As far I know 1 room contains 5 students which are quite messy. Each hostel contains 1 common room also in which a big LCD Television was set up and you can enjoy with your batchmates there. The washrooms are very well cleaned. There are no PG available for you outside the college because the college is situated in an underdeveloped area. But you don't need to worry because the college hostel has enough capacity for students.
