NMIMS Mumbai

NMIMS opens its admission through NMAT and by filling a separate form for NMIMS colleges. I applied through NMAT and secured 250 marks. The cutoff was 235 with a sectional cutoff of 76 in each section. The admission process had an online WAT and an online interview. The interview was taken by 3 NMIMS faculties and it was based on work ex, hygiene questions, and some situational questions.

The course curriculum of NMIMS is good and updated with industry standards and practical problem-solving cases. The faculties are good and supportive. The Faculty-student ratio at NMIMS is 1:10. The subjects include Finance, Marketing, General management, economics, etc. A timely quiz happens for each subject. The end-term exams are easy to pass if proper attention is paid in class.

This year the internship opportunities were good with 140 companies visiting the campus. The average package for this year's summer internship was 1.2 lakh for 2 months and the highest was 2.5 lakh. Internships were dominated by sales and marketing, consulting, and the BFSI sector. Companies like Microsoft, BCG, J&J, Marico, Accenture, google visited the campus.

NMIMS usually has 100% placements and this year also it was 100%. Companies came for various job roles like Sales and marketing, finance, consulting, and product management roles. The average package this year was 18 lakhs and the top 25 percent of students got a package of 22.5 lakhs. The highest domestic CTC was around 36 lakhs. About 150 companies visited the campus and some of them are Microsoft, BCG, Marico, Google etc.

The fee for NMIMS is 2100000 for 2 years. The fee is a bit on the expensive side but the ROI is decent as it provides good placement. NMIMS provides scholarships for students who are financially backward and have good academic records. Also, NMIMS provides loan facilities to students at some decent rates which helps students to take off the fee burden.

The college infrastructure is very classy and looks like a 5-star hotel. All required facilities are available on the campus. There are a lot of clubs under the apex student body which is the student council. The clubs and cells are Finance, NJM for Marketing, Economics cell, Nepathya-The cultural club of NMIMS, Dance and singing club, etc. All the other bodies are also student-led which helps students to connect with each other and helps with a good social life. The library is having good material available both online and offline. NMIMS also gives access to the Bloomberg terminal.

After clearing the cutoff, The next round is a WAT and it happened online. The topic for WAT was based on current affairs. After clearing WAT One interview happened for me, a panel of 2-3 members was taking the interview. Most of the questions were based on Work ex and hygiene questions. To prepare for an interview one has to be aware of the current happenings in the world and should be good with his work ex knowledge.
