Entrance Preview
I took TNPCEE and scored 71/90 and had 94 percentage in my HSC. It was one of the 7 Govt Affiliated colleges in Tamilnadu and I got under merit. I got the course I was looking for too.
Course Curriculum Overview
Curriculum is average and to consider among other states in India its better. Practicals are there to understand the course better and 30 % of time is given for labs. Colleges also promote research and presentation with other colleges , as student can attend symposium.
Internships Opportunities
College doesn't provide internship , however students need to visit Industries through college or go for one summer internship by their own after 3rd Year.
Placement Experience
Placement is on average. Well better than most private colleges but lower when compared to other Govt colleges in Tamil Nadu. This is the area where college can improve upon. However students manage to get into very good positions by themselves in few year.
College Events
Well there are cultural events every year. Sports are also played and college participated in all those sports events conducted in the zone. Students manage them with the staff. There is annual hostel events too which is fun to. These are not grand functions but good enough to enjoy in them.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fees are the cheapest as only students with good ranking can get into the college. This is a govt aided college thus half of the fee is paid by the govt , infact other castes like BC, MBC, SC.ST get the scholarship too. Considering the fee SC ST students would get more scholarship than the fee they have actually paid.
Exam Structure
Well the college conducts 3 monthly series test per semester which will be a base for the internal marks to be given from the lecturer and two semester exams per year. Its not hectic considering college is not open on Saturday as compared to other Private colleges in Tamilnadu.
Admission
Well The admission process has changed after our batch but during our batch we wrote TNPCEE entrance exam to get admission in Engg colleges across Tamilnadu . There was a confusion whether to admit the TNPCEE marks during counselling at that particular year and finally it was admitted. Thus weight age was given to both HSC marks of main streams and Entrance mark.
Faculty
Faculty are on average or better than the other colleges in Tamil Nadu. There are few experienced staff being a govt college which is an advantage. Many of them are PhD or are pursuing one.
