Remarks

The admission process at N. L Dalmia Institute of Management Studies is held online because of pandemics on the zoom platform. I had applied for Welingkar, SIES however secured admission at Nl Dalmia hence didn't attend other colleges. Quota: I didn't avail any quota of admission. Minimum Criteria: The student must be a graduate having sixty percentage in any stream. Admission Process: General Discussion round for 1 minute followed by Personal Interview.

I chose Finance because I had a keen interest in the world of Finance. Student to Faculty Ratio: 10:3 and students are allotted faculty for the personal mentoring sessions which helps in upskilling. Qualification of Teachers: CFA, CA, MBA, PGDM, Mphil, Ph.D., etc are few qualifications of teachers at NL Dalmia Institute. Exams Difficulty: Manageable moderate level difficulty. Timely: Yes they used to take place on time and we had to upload answer sheets on LMS systems.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 510000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Internship: RBI, Crisil, Finmen Advisors, Insplore consultants, IIFL were on board for internships for first-year students who are specializing in finance. stipend: Some of them were unpaid while some were paid. Projects: People are supposed to make a SIP(summer internship project) on their summer internships in starting of their 2nd year.

Placement Experience

Eligibility: Students get eligible in the 2nd year of PGDM. Companies: Crisil, RBI, ICIC BANK, HDFC, Factset came on board for jobs and internships at NL Dalmia Institute. Highest package: 12 Lakhs p.a. as per college. Average: 9 Lakhs as per college. Plans after degree: I will work on the job I secure and pursue a career in finance.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee Structure: For 2 years it was 10,30,000/-. Financial Assistance: No assistance. Scholarship: College doesn't provide any scholarships to students. Job: Companies are inlined for placement process stipend is 40-60000 for jobs approx.

Campus Life

Clubs: NLD Talks (like tedtalks), ACE club(marketing), Finance Forum & Delta Magazine (finance) are a few clubs at Nl Dalmia Institute wherein students can be a part of extracurricular activities. Books: Online PDF, hard copies and Digital Library is available in order for study material and is available easily.

Interview Experience

General Discussion: Wherein I had to speak 1 minute based on the topic allotted to me on the spot. The topic was "India 5 trillion Economy". There is no written aptitude test at Nl Dalmia. Personal Interview: questions based on graduation project, why finance, and general knowledge were asked. I prepared by knowing all CEO and Banks and studied general knowledge through newspapers followed by going through my graduation project.

My SBS Journey

Placement Experience:

During my time the first company that visited our organization was Naukri.com, and feel proud to say that i got placed in the same organization. I am very happy with my placement. But talking about my peers. Number of companies who visited to our institute was compared to low as per our expectations. Majority of the companies who visited the institute were sales based organizations. Very less companies for finance and HR field. This made a difficult call for students.

Not a dream college but a real one

Placement Experience:

The placement scenerio at our caollege can be described as average overall. Most recruiting company belong to the banking and supply chain sectors. Marketing students generally have better placement opportunities, while finance and HR students do get job, though the package are not very high. Buswiness analytics has limited scope as very few companies visit the campus for the roles in that domain.

from 2 sem you get to apply from interships and from 5th sem for placements ,i applied for only company which was tiaa one of the most biggest mnc in india who is direct compitator of jp morgan , i got a package of 6 lacks ctc per anum but the highest package was 12 lacks , the college has a policy that all student gets placed no students are left behind

Promising campus with room for better faculty.

Placement Experience:

After sem 4 we get final placement companies in the campus there are total 200 plus companies come to the campus till september to november almost 35 companies already come to the campus. The companies are ICICI, HDFC, RISHAB WORLD, INSYNC, DENSTU, ITC, BHARAT ELECTRONICS, CORDELIA CRUISE, MORNING STAR, NOMURA, NYKA, NAUKRI.COM. the highest package was given by a company name bharat electronics for HR specialization is 12 lakhs per annum. Almost in my time there 35percent get placed. I plan after degree is first 3-5 yrs in corporate lufe then after own business.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I did choose this course as I am genuinely interested in management and if it is healthcare management that makes me excited. There is a different teaching faculty for each and every subject. The faculties are highly qualified market professionals and experts who teach in an extremely interactive and practical way. They are very supportive. There was one exam conducted per semester which included projects and written exams.

Remarks:

No such bad remarks though. As the college is very superior and one can take admission with complete ease as the college faculty, staff, workers are very helpful and there motive is very clear and remarkable. This college surely helps students in grooming and enhancing skill to the top. I would definitely recommend this college to the upcoming students those who are planning to do MBA in order to achieve goals and learn quality skills.

Review of N.L Dalmia Institute of Management Studies and Research

I had applied for Welingkar,TISS, GIM. I could not attend the process for getting into it because of family issue and time goes the application for this colleges get closed and one option was remain so I applied and took the addmission into NL Dalmia. Yes I get rejection from TISS because I couldn't clear the cut off marks required for this college. Addmission Process For NL Dalmia :- Round 1 :- Group Discussion Filteration Round : Giving any random topic (Current Affairs related to market) (Around 7,8 student seat together for this round pannel is around 2) Round 2 :- Personal Interview :- Checking the Knowledge about the Bachelor Subject and If experience could ask the question relevant to it. Cutoff for getting into NL Dalmia is 85 Percentile or above in CMAT. To sum it up

Admission process was easy and eveything was conveyed via the website of the college which any one can refer. Eligibility of the course is through any one of the entrance tests with particular score in all of the tests respectively. As I submitted my scorecard of both CMAT and MAH-CET, with ~84%ile and ~96%ile respectively, I was shortlisted for the PI round, as the second stage for the final selection process. The details regarding application form, application fees, and all vital dates were available over the net. They have mentioned that the acceptance rate is 4%, which can be brought down, so that there can be some more good quality of students, undoubtedly it is alright now, but everyone wants to progress whether being an institute or any organisation for that matter, and hence just a suggestion for the same....Read More
