Top college under AKTU, state university uttar pradesh

I applied through the state entrance examination for the bachelors of engineering program. Through the counseling of state university, AKTU, I applied for IET Lucknow and JSS Noida. Through the counseling process according to the rank given with result for the entrance exam, I was allotted JSS Noida, computer science engineering branch. The counseling was conducted online but we had to visit a particular centre from a list of centers for document verification.

I had an interest in computer science as during my school I attended various competitions as well related to developement and programming, that is why I chose computer science engineering. JSS Noida comes among the top colleges under state university, so it was in my list of colleges I wanted to attend. Faculty to student ratio is about 80 to 1. The faculty is qualified, many are PHD and have good understanding of the subject, but most of them don't have a good teaching method, as no examples of real world is given to where and why the topic being taught was used or introduced, where the subject computer science is full of such examples which help in understanding the topic more easily.

Students of 6th semester are eligible for campus placement tests as some companies come for it, but mostly from 7th semester companies visit the campus for placement activities. Apart from the efforts from the college, the university also has programs for placements and through which also one can get a good job. Considering both college level and university level placement activities highest package is 18 lpa and average will be 4.5 lpa for computer science branch. About 85% of students get placed.

The cost to study is not very high and is in accordance with other colleges from other state universities. There are many scholarships provided by the university for different category students, like according to their financial background, or according to their community. College also provides financial assistance as it is a part of JSS Mahavidyapeeth Mysore, it has its own scholarships as well.

Annual Fest is called Zealicon and it has a lot of activities in every niche to participate in. Also, there is a sports fest. The college has a students club for every branch of engineering that the college offers and apart from them also a literary club and cultural club as well. The library has adequate books and material needed for the program as well as any other need. Also, a set of books are allotted each semester according to the subjects being taught in that semester. Classrooms have options for a projector as well, with the blackboard.
