Entrance Preview
It was an internal exam during that time and since I did my +2 from the same institution, it was quite easy for me to get through however English Honours was one of the esteemed courses and I consider myself privileged.
Internships Opportunities
The college does provide internship and certain scholarships are available for the meritorious students as well but as a hosteller I am not much aware of the same.
Placement Experience
There is a Placement Officer under TPO who is responsible for organising job fairs and ensuring that the pass-out students can accordingly look for opportunities. Since I passed out a decade ago I have no idea about the current packages offered. Further details can be procured from PRO office.
College Events
We used to have a cultural fest for the Arts Faculty every year and apart from that the Founder's Day was also celebrated every year with zest. I have been an active member of the Literary society as well so I have participated in major events.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are various scholarships available which are on merit basis and sometimes on the basis of financial condition of the ward as well. One need to check the website and local admin dashboard to know about the same.
Campus Life
Campus life was good, we had around 30,000 students with around 10,000 female students during that time. Whatever you can imagine in co-curricular activities was performed there and it was one of the best campus globally. There was no issue of gender or religious bias and we had fun.
Alumni/Alumna
Sadly the alumni network is one of the biggest in the country and diverse as well but they have not taken much effort to ensure the development of the upcoming lot.
Exam Structure
We did not have much pressure as such. There were sessional exams in which you have to score marks and best of three used to be counted. The semester was usually 6 months period and we managed to score good marks due to regular classes. I am thankful to the diligence of the teachers as well.
Admission
The form can be procured from any city but the entrance exam takes place in the AMU campus only. First you have to come into the merit list and then intimation is sent via mail. You have to submit the duly filled form at the Administrative block to procure hall ticket for the written exam.
