Qualified Faculties, Average placements and internship opportunities

My admission was done on the basis of the state engineering entrance exam (i.e. CGPET). You have to secure a good rank in the entrance for the admissions. Admissions are also done on the basis of JEE mains results. The overall process was smooth and there was no issue during the admission.

I choose computer science because I had an interest in computers and their software. Rungta college provided a high-quality study in this field so I joined this college. The course curriculum is the same as all the B.Tech. colleges. Here we get highly qualified faculties who are always there to help us in any need. We have semester exams every 6 months and mid semester exams every 2 months. If a student studies with dedication it can be cleared with good marks.

Internships are offered by companies like Technovart and Keka for the students but it is not for a large number of students. Only a few students get internships opportunities. As fewer amount of companies visit our college for the purpose of internships so the number of students getting an internship at the early stages is very low.

The campus placements are offered by our college and very good organisations in the technology sector visit our college to take the students. From the 5th semester the students become eligible for the internships and 7th semester onwards they become eligible for full time job offers. Some names of the companies that visited our college are Cognizant, Capgemini, TCS, Tech Mahindra and many more. The highest package was around 7 LPA and the overall average was around 3 LPA. In our batch, around 60% of the students were placed.

The fee structure was like every 6 months we have to pay the fees. For even semesters we had a fee of around 36000 and for odd semesters we had a fee of around 37000 which becomes 73000 yearly. The total cost of the course is around 3 Lakhs. Scholarships are provided according to certain conditions. I got a campus job in Cognizant the package was around 4.5 LPA.

Along with the studies we also have extracurricular activities. These activities were held on every Saturday in the second half of the college hours. Our annual fest is named VYOM which is a combination of sports and cultural activities it is conducted in the month of March. We have different clubs related to cultural activities, sports and competitive programming etc. We have a good library where we can get all the required books and journals. We also have a website named Doodle which is made by the students for the students.
