Remarks

The college management overall is good theres a healthy atmosphere. Its more about academics though. The gym and library are good but small in size. Overall decent and good ROI with a good brand name.

Entrance Preview

I took CAT 71 percentile,CMAT 84%. I opted from SIESCOMS as it has very good was suitably located in Navi Mumbai and because it's fairly a good brand name.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is very good. The subjects are useful and better than the university syllabus. Faculty is good. The drawback here is the teaching method,which lacks contemporary case studies in class.

Internships Opportunities

Yes the college helps in internship and even takes into account the sector a student wants to go in. The stipend however is pathetic or not there. Decent to good companies come for internship.

Decent to good companies come for campus. an average of 6 lacs package is there. This year is seeing new companies coming in.Marketing as well as other specializations have seen 100% placement last year. This year starting season saw one company with 8.5 package.

College Events

The cultural and managemet programs are not that grand or good,atleast they werent this year. Depends on how many students take part and are willing to organise. No proper system for events or cultural activities.

Fees and Financial Aid

I took an education loan from HDFC,no problems in getting it for this college. There is no scholarship here. Reservation from Tamils.

Campus Life

Gender ratio is good and we have a very lively atmosphere. There are not many competitions or activities outside the academics but we manage to hv our fun quotient.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes the alumni are very cool and helpful We have super seniors in contact and many people in network willing to help us.

Exam Structure

Exams are frequent,mid sems and semester end. A lot of presentations.It can get very hectic for weeks and then suddenly chilled out,especially in the 2nd year. Overall, PGDM students work harder and have more hectic schedules also with many extra curricul

My SBS Journey

Placement Experience:

During my time the first company that visited our organization was Naukri.com, and feel proud to say that i got placed in the same organization. I am very happy with my placement. But talking about my peers. Number of companies who visited to our institute was compared to low as per our expectations. Majority of the companies who visited the institute were sales based organizations. Very less companies for finance and HR field. This made a difficult call for students.

Not a dream college but a real one

Placement Experience:

The placement scenerio at our caollege can be described as average overall. Most recruiting company belong to the banking and supply chain sectors. Marketing students generally have better placement opportunities, while finance and HR students do get job, though the package are not very high. Buswiness analytics has limited scope as very few companies visit the campus for the roles in that domain.

from 2 sem you get to apply from interships and from 5th sem for placements ,i applied for only company which was tiaa one of the most biggest mnc in india who is direct compitator of jp morgan , i got a package of 6 lacks ctc per anum but the highest package was 12 lacks , the college has a policy that all student gets placed no students are left behind

Promising campus with room for better faculty.

Placement Experience:

After sem 4 we get final placement companies in the campus there are total 200 plus companies come to the campus till september to november almost 35 companies already come to the campus. The companies are ICICI, HDFC, RISHAB WORLD, INSYNC, DENSTU, ITC, BHARAT ELECTRONICS, CORDELIA CRUISE, MORNING STAR, NOMURA, NYKA, NAUKRI.COM. the highest package was given by a company name bharat electronics for HR specialization is 12 lakhs per annum. Almost in my time there 35percent get placed. I plan after degree is first 3-5 yrs in corporate lufe then after own business.

I did choose this course as I am genuinely interested in management and if it is healthcare management that makes me excited. There is a different teaching faculty for each and every subject. The faculties are highly qualified market professionals and experts who teach in an extremely interactive and practical way. They are very supportive. There was one exam conducted per semester which included projects and written exams.

No such bad remarks though. As the college is very superior and one can take admission with complete ease as the college faculty, staff, workers are very helpful and there motive is very clear and remarkable. This college surely helps students in grooming and enhancing skill to the top. Good Curriculum, High Fees, No Amenities, Mediocre to Poor Placement (use references instead)

I applied for 4 colleges - VESIM, Welingkar, ITM, and SIES SBS.Out of 4, I got selected for VESIM, ITM very easily. (1) ITM - Mumbai students get admission very easily. 90,000 Rs. discount for the best candidate on the day of the admission process. No GD, only short essay and PI. Rs. 25,000 for provisional admission and will refund very late. (2) VESIM - GD, PI & Q&A with department faculty which was good. Hassel-free process. (3) Welingkars - Very lengthy 1-day process, organized. GD and PI. Very competitive. Nearly 2 months for announcing results. Waitlist candidates will have to wait very long & miss other colleges. No communication on phone, only email. (4) Got into SIES SBS through 50% South Indian Minority Quota. Chances of admission is highest if you are Tamil Bhramin but your candidature also matters. If you are not good enough, you go in waitlist. I got in first round. Waitlist students kept joining till the first week of college in mid-August. Management Quota also there....Read More
