Remarks
I had applied in josaa counseling but due to my low percentile, I didn't get a good college. I got BIT SINDRI through jcece counseling. You must be a citizen of Jharkhand in order to apply and you must have a residential certificate of Jharkhand. Then eligibility list will be out listing who all can participate in jcece counseling. Usually, there are two rounds in counseling. I got my seat in the first round itself after that counseling was done in which you need to show the original documents such as residential certificate,12th mark sheet, passing certificate, transfer certificate, 10th mark sheet, caste certificate. After confirming everything he puts your name on the list. After 2 rounds a separate spot round is held for which you need to register separately.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose Minning engineering because the placement of mining is good over here. The faculty-to-student ratio is quite bad. The faculty over here is quite overloaded with classes due to less no of faculty. Due to which classes of various branches are combined to decrease the workload on faculties. Few faculty are highly educated while few are not highly educated. A mid-semester exam is taken every two months. In one semester there are two mid sem exams and one final exam. The difficulty level of the exam is moderate.
Internships Opportunities
Different companies provide internships to different branches. I am from Minn ing branch and companies that provide internships are Vedanta, TATA Steel, and a few more. Usually, VT happens during the end of 2nd year.
Placement Experience
After the 6th semester, we become eligible for placements. Almost 50 companies visit our college and the average amount of offers are made. Almost 20 % of students are placed from every branch Average package is around 4 lakhs. The highest package is around 14.5 lakhs.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees are quite low here. The total cost of BTECH will be around 1 lakh which is very low. This fee will be even lower for SC/ST students. For OBC students there is a scheme called TFW. For you to come in this category you need to have OBC/SC/ST certificates and an annual income of fewer than 6 lakhs.
Campus Life
There are various fests organized by various clubs throughout the year. There are almost every book available in the library. The classroom condition is quite average. Sports items are available but are not sufficient to meet the demands of every student. There are various clubs in our college which are run by students such as NSS, ECO CLUB, ROTARACT CLUB, etc.
Hostel Facilities
For the first-year students, a big room is there in which 4 students have to live together. There are four-bed, tables, and almirah available in the room. The food provided in the mess is quite good. You will be provided with food 4 times a day. The registration process for hostel rooms is done in the college itself. The hostel prived is quite affordable.
