Remarks
I applied for jntu- kalikiri, Mits- madanapalle for counseling under an A.P scholarship. As my eamcet rank was around 50000 applied for CSE then ECE. My first preference is CSE but due to my low eamcet rank of eligibility, my scholarship resulted in ECE from mits. So I joined. I compared the quality in education, fees, placements in and around my place. Mits being the top stars for all the criteria I am looking for.
Course Curriculum Overview
Electronics and Communication Engineering has been heard as an evergreen course in engineering. So, I decided to join ECE. In the first year, there will be 60 students in the section. for each stream/course overall there will be 5-6 sections. In the 2nd year, lateral entry students will join the class so around 70+ students will be the strength for the rest of the years. Faculty here will be mostly from IITs and NITs. Faculty recruitment will be from northern and southern states of India so communication with the faculty in the English language. Almost every faculty had completed their Ph.D. The teaching of almost 80% of the faculty will be understandable( if the student concentrates) . one semester is for 6 months where after the first 2 months mid 1 with units 1,2 will be conducted for 30 marks. Mid 2 will be conducted after 3 months with units 3,4,5. followed by lab exams and end semester exams. Passing in almost 70% of the subjects is easy with dumps materials.
Internships Opportunities
No internships will be offered particularly only if the company you are selected offers you internship college will agree to send. If we show an internship offer then we no need to do the final project. It will be hard to get an internship.
Placement Experience
From the 5th semester, students will be eligible for placements. From 3 rd year, they start training in aptitude and soft skills. Some of the companies visited are CTS, Wipro, legato, Infosys, infra mind, Accenture, tcs, Mindtree. almost 100 students will be placed in cts, Infosys, Accenture, tcs. The average package will be 2.8 - 3.8 lac /annum maximum will be 10 lac/ annum only in rare cases. 60-70% of students will be placed. I joined an IT company immediately after the degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees are ultimately high but when compared to other colleges it's okay. in 2017 when I joined fees were 1,10,000/per year, I joined in the convenor quota so my fee reimbursement was around 35000. Apart from government scholarship Mits also included many other private scholarships based on different criteria such as caste, income, score, disabilities. Placements are quite good they will provide a chance to participate in all the drives until we secure one job. After getting one job offer a particular person will be blocked from placements they will not be allowed for others only allowed for higher packages than the offer they have. I was placed with the stipend of 3.8 lac/annum though it was off-campus placement the college name helped a lot.
Campus Life
Ashv is the annual techno-cultural sports fest in the month of Feb. They encouraged to be part of many clubs like a technical club, anchors club. Books and journals are mostly available in the library. almost every faculty prefers presentations to teach. There will be a lot of sports and extracurricular activities every week. Every club, social group will be run by students only faculty will play in charge roles and guides.
Hostel Facilities
I was a day scholar but most of my friends were rented a room or pg near the college area in angallu. PGs costs higher which are near the college. in angallu, it costs a bit less. Food will be okay in the college hostel and it was too strict. The food in the other pgs and rooms will bother sometimes.
Other Applied Colleges
