Remarks
After the Cat results were out, I got calls from S.P.Jain, IIM Sirmaur, IIM Vishakapatnam, IIM, Shillong, and IIM, Rohtak. Having filled the further application form of only IIM, Rohtak, and S.P.Jain. For IIM, Rohtak in particular, there was a personal interview held on zoom/google meet, the questions asked were related to academic, knowledge-based plus the general interview questions. For preparation, I would suggest brushing up on your basics.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is really diverse and for the first year, it will cover all the fields from marketing, finance, supply chain, operations, and even data analytics. For the second year, you can choose your major and minor electives according to your interest. The faculties are of two types, home faculties and also the visiting faculties from the top IIM's. Well- experienced and really cooperative some of them are strict and hard to deal with but that is what we signed up for. So overall it's good. The marketing faculties are amazing. Your classes would be 80% dependent on the different case studies for every subject.
Internships Opportunities
Live project opportunities at IIM, Rohtak comes throughout your MBA period, offering all kinds of roles providing a great experience. These live projects also help students to work on themselves and get a good SIP when the time comes. The companies coming for SIP are of all kinds offering opportunities in different fields. The college has maintained its record for providing SIPs to almost every student. The highest stipend for the year 2021 was 2.5 Lakhs while the average at 65k INR
Placement Experience
Every student is supposed to do summer internships in the month of Apr and May, and the companies for these SIP's start coming from the month of Oct itself. The majority of these company also provides PPO to their interns. For the year 2021, there were among 100+ recruiters and 75+ among them were the new recruiters. Though the report says that there was 100% placement, 100% placement is a myth. yes, the majority of the students gets placed, just some 20-30 are the one who doesn't. The Highest CTC stood at 22.8LPA and the median CTC offered stood at 13.5LPA
Fees and Financial Aid
If we compare the fee structure of IIM, Rohtak from last year, it has increased by 90,000 INR, total amounting to 17,55,000/- INR inclusive mess, room, and other fees. Though because of the current covid situation, we are not supposed to pay mess fees till the time we are attending the college in an online mode. Plus till the end of the first term, the college provides a tablet to every student.
Campus Life
For The infrastructure, the college has different blocks for PGP and IPM. the classes are all air-conditioned and digitalized. We have a large common playground as well. The hostels are well maintained and air-conditioned with a wifi facility available throughout the campus. The first years have classes mostly in the first half but in the second year, our lectures are spread throughout the day, some even late at night. after the classes, Different events, competitions, guest lectures, quizzes and workshops are conducted every other day. We have around 17 clubs and 12 committees. Being a part of these clubs and committees is the best part of the college.
