Projects and Intenship

I applied for Galgotias College of Engineering and Technology, Greater Noida, UP. I come under the OBC category in my state. I had an 18000(OBC) rank in the UPSEE exam due to which i was allotted this college in counseling round. In my last second counseling round I was allocated an Electrical Engineering branch in this college and in my last counseling round I was allocated a Mechanical Engineering branch in this college. 20,000 was charged as counseling fees. The payment was done via DD at the time of admission in college.

I chose this course because I have a desire to experience and develop technology and become an engineer in my life. Faculties in this college are average to a good level. My classroom had 60 students and one faculty was assigned as class coordinator of my class. Faculties are well educated with degrees like Ph.D., M.tech. The teaching method is rated from 4 to 6 on a scale of 10. Some faculty also deserves a rating of 8 on the same scale. Three sessional exams wherein the previous two were from half of the syllabus and the last was from the full syllabus is being conducted with a time gap of 1 to 2 months. Sessional exams are of a good level that can be cracked with good marks if the student has understood the concepts and gone through the notes provided by subject teachers.

Projects can be done by students so that companies can be impressed by the skills of students. College authority signs the paper in case students wish to pursue internships in any company. Showing that paper as a proof company allows for internship.

From the seventh semester, students are eligible for placements. Cognizant, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, HCL, Capgemini, and many more companies visit the campus. The highest package from on campus here is 8LPA and the average is 4LPA.

Tuition Fees is 98000 per year. On early payment, a rebate of 10% is given on the total amount. The scholarship is provided by the UP government based on the annual income related to the student's father. Some of my friends have received scholarships of up to 50000 to 70000 in their accounts from the UP government. Companies like Cognizant, Infosys, Accenture, IBM, HCL, Capgemini, Wipro do visit the campus and provide the CTC of 4 to 4.5 LPA. A stipend of rupees 5000 to 20000 is also given during the training period which is based on the company.

The fresher party is arranged for the freshers at the beginning of the academic session. The library is loaded with a huge variety of books and different authors. Books are related to academic courses as well nonacademic books are also available. Library timing is from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm. The library is closed on Saturday and Sunday. Moreover, the student has the facility to issue the book from the library to their home for a period of 1 week. Sports like badminton, cricket, hockey are played. Clubs are present like Dance club, kalkriti club, art club.

The hostel room is provided with a bed frame, table, chair, and an almirah. Hostel and college are located in a single campus. Each floor has 5 to 6 bathrooms. Wifi is provided in the hostel. For the hostel, the student has to pay the fees as per seater (2,3 or4) during admission time. Meal quality is of average level. The canteen is available.
