Internships and more

I applied to all DU nursing colleges in delhi but opted for this because this is better than others. We gave an written entrance test for qualification and later on enrolled for councelling according to the rank list. We were divided rank wise and later on category wise for admission process. I got my admission on the first councelling only.

I choose this course as I wanted to get into any medical courses with a good job security. There is about 12 teachers in the whole college giving about 1:20 teacher per student ratio. All the teachers are qualified and mostly have studied from the se college itself many of them have completed their specialised M.sc and some are even pursuing p.hd. They a good and sophisticated teaching techniques. Exams are scheduled every 6 months and in the first semester they were pretty hard to pass but after that we get used to the college curriculum

We do the internship at our hospital .i.e.,smt Sucheta Kriplani hospital We have to work like the regular staff.i.e., nursing officers there during the internship period.we recieve an amount of 500 rs per month during the internship period which during the last year of our college

We have to pay yearly DU fees which is 7500 for the first year and 3500 for later 3 years which is quite affordable. We get a stipend of 500 rupees per month in last six months of internship in fourth year. We also have to pay mess charges worth 2000 per month while staying in hostel

We have an annual fest named splash which is held in month of Feb March There are plenty of books available in library We have a practical field created in classroom for practice and simulation There is minimal sport activities in campus There is a committee of students in college for various issues and functions

You get a table bed chair and a cupboard in your hostel room We have to pay 2000 per month as mess charges to stay in hostel We have a mixed menu in the hostel mess which almost satisfies everyone and quality is fine as it's a bit oily and tastes same in every cfood
