I got admitted to Sastra University with my JEE mains score of 60 out of 360 and in Tamil Nadu out of very few colleges which accepts JEE mains score, Sastra University was the only well known University.

The Course Curriculum is Sastra University is Amazing as it gets updated every 2 years. The Updation is done based on the current trend which fulfills the current research trends and the corporate world as well. CBCS(Choice based credit system) is followed which helps to choose two subjects on student's choice and also students with more than 75 percentile can opt an extra subject of final semester.

Yes, Sastra University allows internships for the students of semester eight where the students got placed in seventh semester or before can apply do the final semester project in the firm they have been selected to. The average internship stipend given to students are around 20K.

In the batch of 2017 till now 1400 have been placed and still placements going on. The Well Reputed Recruiting Companies Visiting SASTRA are MICROSOFT, TCS, IBM, ZOHO, FRESHDESK, PAYODA, GOFRUGAL, ASPIRE etc. The Pay package for the students differed based on the designation given to the students which includes technical,marketing,non-technical.

SASTRA University is well known for its inter and intra-college fests happens throughout the year conducted by various departments. The Mega inter college cultural fest is KURUKSASTRA happens in the end of march and the technical fest is DAKSH which happens on the end of February.

Fee structure in SASTRA University is feasible and way lesser than many private colleges in Tamil nadu. The Semester fee of 45K and the hostel fee ranges from 8K to 18K which is a biggest advantages of SASTRA University. The Standard given in this fee structure is to be appreciated.

Scholarships will be given to the students for various categories which includes academics, sports etc., Each semester list of Scholarship students will be announced. College campus has two banks where they help to avail loans to students.

Hostel facility is given to students who are in 70km away from college campus. Hence there is no shortage in rooms for the distance people to get admitted in the hostel.

Exam structure in SASTRA University for B.tech course has eight semester exams. Each semester has three internal exams out of which two are taken into consideration. Each semester has six subjects and two labs. Lab exams have model and main semester practicals.

Admission in SASTRA university happens in two ways.When i got admitted in 2013 it was like JEE Main Stream and Board Marks stream. Based on the Rank list they will allot counselling timing and the admission happens. But now the streams changed to Pure JEE Main Stream and 70% Board with 30% JEE Main Stream.

Every Faculty in Sastra University is either a doctorate or Research Scholar which helps students to get motivated on research ideas and paper publications. As Each faculty has research background they have the passion towards the subject which in turn gets reflected in teaching skills.
